Introduction
“The name’s Bond. James Bond.” (Suspenseful music plays in the background) We all know what these words do to our hearts and as well as to our brains. Now, what about the actor? From 1962 to 2021, various actors like Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig have shown up on our screens with their charismatic characters. Now maybe it’s time for some other guy? And the name that’s popping up here and there is Henry Cavill. Now if his name shows up again in the casting proposition of James Bond, He’s still available for this legendary role. In fact, it was surfaced recently that when the talks about who might be the next James Bond started online, that made cavil trending everywhere with fanbois looking for him to grab the position next.
What Did Cavill Say on This?
In an interview with Movie Dweeb, when Cavill was questioned about the discussion regarding James Bond. As Henry previously opinioned about him doing the role of 007, he was questioned if not 007 if he will be still up for signing up in the franchise as another character. Maybe again as a villain? And as an answer, he said he’s still interested to work with Casino Royale director Martin Campbell as well as producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson and will take any kind of role they think will be suitable for him.
In simple words, Henry Cavill is totally interested in teaming up with the James Bond Franchise, no matter if he is offered to play the role of villain or any other character other than James Bond. If the director and producers have Henry Cavill in their minds, the character of James Bond will be included in his reach. So, if we hope to see Cavill recurring the role of 007, that won’t be something exaggerating at all. But the topic of finding somebody new for the role doesn’t have a chance to begin until next year.
Why He Should Get The Role?
Besides his compatibility with this role, another reason why his appearance is this hyped among the fans is because Henry Cavill was pretty close to getting the role of James Bond once earlier before. After the Die Another Day star Pierce Brosnan left the franchise, director Martin Campbell was looking for a replacement for his movie Casino Royale, and that time he mentioned that besides Daniel Craig, Henry Cavil is the only actor he had his eyes set on. But Henry Cavill was ultimately cut out because of his young age and Craig was selected for being more compatible. Now, surprisingly Cavill is at the same age of 38 just like Craig was at the time of Casino Royale.
As No Time to Die was the fifth and last movie which featured Daniel Craig in the role of 007, the legendary actor won’t be appearing in the franchise of James Bond. So the time will decide who will be the Next James Bond, but as the hearts of many fans say, Henry Cavill won’t be a bad choice after all!
