Introduction
Too many people are there who prefer romantic drama or comedy-drama or even thriller drama. But what about psychological drama? Yeah… just like the other genres, this genre has its small but established cult. Today we’re gonna talk about a series that focuses on the treatment of mental illness. Guess what? Right, written by Evan Romansky and serialized by Ryan Murphy, ‘Ratched’ is a psychological drama that sees the corruption of the psychiatric system in the country. The Series is somehow connected and acts as a prequel to that famous movie starred by Jack Nicholson and directed by Milos Foreman, ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’ (it was based on the famous novel of the same name written by Ken Kesey). The storyline progresses through the point of view of Mildred Ratched, who was a nurse and also an important character in the previous movie.
Shifting the environment from Oregon to California the storyline dives into the incompatibilities of this Mildred Character while sustaining the bonding between her nurse form and her foster brother Edmund. Since the show aired back in 2020, this Netflix original series has garnered a good number of fans around it along with an overall good review from the critics for its precise casting, elaboration of the storyline, and particularly the to-the-point acting of Sarah Paulson as the main role. So as the first season ended in a cliffhanger, it’s not out of normal that many fans are eager for any kind of news on ‘Ratched Season 2.’
Expected Release Date For Ratched Season 2
The first season of Ratched was mass released entirely on 18th September of 2020 on the online streaming platform Netflix. The previous season consisted of 8 episodes having an average watch time of almost an hour for each episode. Now, Let’s have a look into the details of Ratched Season 2.
For those who don’t know already that back in 2017, Netflix covered the show in bidding with Hulu and Apple and it announced the show’s continuation for at least two seasons. Later, Romansky and Murphy gave a hint that the show will pack 4 seasons in its arc. So we can say that our eyes will be busy for now. The writing team has started sharing news about the screenplay of the upcoming Ratched Season 2 from back in January this year, but the cast never made a single opinion about the release date. So… taking into consideration that the series takes quite a while for post-production works, you can expect to see Ratched Season 2 on your digital screen sometime in the fourth quarter of 2022.

Anticipated Storyline For Ratched Season 2
The second season may take the baton from where the first one ends. Edmund says that he killed seven nurses in Chicago, So Mildred understands the threat to her own life. Edmund can always chase after Gwen as he knows her role in Mildred’s life. And her death will break Mildred. The dark side of Mildred that she hid till now, will start to reveal itself.
