OnePlus Accidentally Leaked Details Which Lead To Oneplus Nord 2 Launch

The OnePlus Nord 2

The OnePlus Nord 2  is slated to come shortly as a sequel to the popular OnePlus Nord – and while the new mid-ranger hasn’t been formally announced, a mention of it has appeared on the company’s website, implying that it won’t belong.

OnePlus recently announced a cooperation with Google Stadia, in which qualified users will receive a free Stadia Premiere Edition – you can learn more about it here.

The OnePlus Nord 2 was listed as an eligible smartphone for this offer in the deal’s FAQ section, according to Android Police, alongside other flagships from 2020 and 2021.

This was the first formal reference of the device we’d seen, albeit it’s since been removed.

Given that the deal is already available on other OnePlus phones when purchased from the company’s website, the Nord 2’s unveiling must be imminent.

Launch date

Of course, given OnePlus’ track record with pre-release leaks, this might very well be a deliberate “leak” designed to get the hype train rolling for the next model.

The potential of an eventual OnePlus Nord 2 release aligns with prior speculations, which suggested an unveiling in June.

Mukul Sharma, a leaker, recently claimed that two OnePlus smartphones would be released in June, on June 10 and June 25.

OnePlus released a list of phones that are eligible for this offer in the FAQ section, including the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, OnePlus 8T, OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus Nord, and the OnePlus Nord 2 that was unintentionally mentioned.

Since then, the OnePlus Nord 2 designation has been deleted from the FAQ area. Before it was wiped out, Android Police was able to discover the name.

Customers in France, Germany, and the United Kingdom can take advantage of the Stadia Premiere Edition deal.

The rumor goes on to say that because the offer is only valid until September 30, the OnePlus Nord 2 is likely to arrive sooner.

According to previous rumors, the OnePlus Nord 2 would be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC, making it the first OnePlus phone to not have a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

When it comes to releasing dates, well-known tipster Mukul Sharma revealed on Twitter that two OnePlus phones will be released in India in June. One will premiere on June 10 and the other on June 25.

We know that the OnePlus Nord CE — the successor to the OnePlus Nord N10 5G — and the OnePlus Nord 2 are in the works, which means that both of these devices might be released in India in June.

The exact date of the debut is yet unknown. It’s worth noting that OnePlus hasn’t released any official information on the two rumored phones.

The OnePlus Nord 2 will be a more cheap alternative to the premium flagship OnePlus 9 smartphones, with a new processor and significantly lower hardware but keeping the fundamentals like clean software, rapid charging, and a high refresh rate display.

According to previous sources, the phone would be powered by the Density 1200 chipset, making it the first OnePlus phone to use a MediaTek processor instead of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon.

Apart from that, we’re expecting a 120Hz AMOLED display, 65W Warp charging, broad 5G support, and a plethora of color possibilities.

If the predicted June release date is correct, teasers should start appearing soon.
