Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ project is Echo. Alaqua Cox will return as Maya Lopez a.k.a Echo. She debuted in the Hawkeye series in November 2021. Now, Echo is going to have her Disney+ series which will be released in 2023. And as per the rumor, Vincent D’Onofrio who done the role of Wilson Fisk a.k.a Kingpin will run for Mayor of New York in the upcoming Marvel Studios series Echo.
In the finale of the Hawkeye series, we get to see Maya Lopez a.k.a Echo come face to face with Wilson Fisk a.k.a Kingpin. And Maya Lopez pointed the gun at the head of Kingpin and then fires the gun. But, what happened to Kingpin? Was he dead? Was he wounded? Was it a warning shot? It is not yet confirmed. But as per rumor, he is going to reprise his role again in the Echo series.

About the Kingpin rumor in the Echo series
Kingpin is a massive character in Marvel. His role is played by Vincent D’Onofrio. And we have seen D’Onofrio’s Kingpin in action on the three seasons of Daredevil, and one season of Hawkeye. And now he is going to come in the Echo series. According to a new rumor, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin will feature in four episodes. The character will also run to be a mayoral campaign in the series. James Clement who told about this rumor has added more that Wilson Fisk will be wearing an eye patch, and he also told about the rumor of Daredevil in the Echo series. His words are noted below.
“Yep, Daredevil is in it for three episodes as in Charlie Cox. Kingpin, Vinnie D’Onofrio is in four. The Kingpin storyline is building up to him running for Mayor of New York city. Apparently, he’s going to be wearing an eye patch, because he was shot in the head in Hawkeye.”

Did Kingpin Ran for Mayor of New York City in comics?
Wilson Fisk a.k.a Kingpin has now entered the MCU. Fans are very happy to see him in the MCU in the Hawkeye series. Now, he will again return to the Echo series. But in that series he will run for the Mayor seat of New York City, to have the hands of political powers. But the question arises, did Kingpin run for Mayor before in the comics? And the answer is Yes. In comics, Kingpin has run for mayor of New York. He often tried to use the position of heightened power and influence, to have more crime in Manhattan and the other areas.
About Echo Disney+ series
Echo is an upcoming Disney+ series of Marvel Studios. The series is a spin-off of the Hawkeye Disney+ series. This series is an installment to phase 4. The Echo Disney+ series will revisit Maya Lopez’s character, more deeply, as she was the main character of this series.
The expected plot of the Echo Disney+ series
As we saw in Hawkeye, Maya Lopez, despite being deaf attended a regular school and practiced Martial arts, she lost her father when she was a child. She knows that her father was killed by Ronin. As Ronin was hunting for the criminals. Maya Lopez becomes the commander of the Tracksuit Mafia and vows to have revenge on Ronin. Lopez works for Wilson Fisk a.k.a Kingpin. Clint Barton revealed himself as the Ronin. But Maya Lopez eventually finds out that Kingpin is responsible for the death of her father. She leaves Tracksuit Mafia and gets her revenge on Wilson Fisk as she shot him. After the events in the Hawkeye series, it is expected the Echo series will start. This series will go deep into the character Echo. Nothing much is not coming for the Echo series. But it is rumored that Kingpin to run for the Mayor seat of New York City.
When Echo is releasing?
The release date of the Echo is not yet confirmed but it is going to release on Disney+ in 2023. Maya Lopez’s character is loved by the fans, as they’ve first seen this character in the Hawkeye series. Now, she going to have her Disney+ series, and in that series, Kingpin played by Vincent D’Onofrio will be there and he is going to run for the Mayor seat of New York City.
