The Official Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Trailer is here and it has blown away our minds. The trailer was awaited by Marvel fans all over the world and now that it is here, we can’t wait for the movie to release so that we can watch it ASAP. There was slight speculation of the trailer to be dropped during the Super Bowl on 14th February 2022. But, it seems like Marvel wanted to give its fans a surprise and we are overwhelmed. So, before continuing with the article, let’s watch the Official Doctor Strange 2 Trailer.
What is shown in the trailer?
The official trailer of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has nearly nothing repeated from the teaser trailer except for a couple of key shots. There have been extensive reshoots for the movie and now we are getting some idea that what must have changed or added to the movie.
The first detail that we spotted in the trailer is that the Cloak of Levitation now has a black patch in it, maybe because it gets torn at some point in the movie and later gets fixed by Rintrah, like in the comics.
In this trailer, we get the hear the name of the probable villain of this movie for the first time, which is none other than Nightmare. Nightmare may or may not be the main antagonist of the movie but the trailer hints that he will be in the movie.
We hear Vision getting mentioned for the first time in any MCU movie or series after the WandaVision events by Wanda when Doctor Stange asks her about her views on the multiverse. She mentions that Vision has his theories and they were dangerous.
We get to see more of Wong in this trailer. While this might be the last time we see Benedict Wong‘s character in the MCU movies according to some theories which seems very much legit so far.
After that comes the most interesting part, which is we get to see a scene that reminds us of a previously leaked image that showed Doctor Strange locked in high tech hand-cuffs and speaking to Professor X, and in the trailer, we didn’t get to see the character but, from the voice, anyone can tell that it is definitely Patrick Stewart reprising his role as Charles Xavier.
After that for a brief moment, we see a burning man flying through which we think is none other than the Human Torch or one of his variants. We still don’t have any idea about who is playing the character this time as there have been previously two incarnations of the Human Torch, played by Captain America actor Chris Evans and Killmonger actor Michael B. Jordan in the reboot. Both of them have played significant roles as other mainstream Marvel characters canon with the MCU.
In this trailer, we see the villainous side of Wanda for the first time. We also saw something which seemed like a variant of her or maybe just an illusion. As we know, Wanda is a Nexus being, so all her variants are basically the same across the Multiverse or so. We have to see how things turn out for this character as it is going to play a key role in the movie.
Well, there might be more details and Easter eggs in the trailer than the ones we have spotted so far and we have full faith in the eagle-eyed MCU fans who pick out the tiniest of details.
