Morbius 2: It’s Morbin’ Time Script inspired by Morbius Memes teased by Jared Leto jokingly

The Internet can sometimes go too far, and Morbius may be one of those cases. Memes made about the Morbius movie have been trending on social media in recent times. The Jared Leto-led Sony film was released earlier this year and has received mixed reviews from audiences and critics. However, Morbius’ popularity on Twitter has risen in recent weeks, with the “Morbin’ time” meme becoming a viral sensation and corporations like KFC joining in on the joke. In fact, Sony has chosen to re-release the film in theatres as a result of the joke. Jared Leto himself has taken to social media with a humorous video promoting a (hopefully) false Morbius 2 script, just when we believed the Morbius jokes would not get any crazier.

“Can you tell me what time it is?” Leto enquires in the comment section. We’re sure you can figure it out… it’s Morbin’ time! The Oscar winner shared a video of himself reading a script for a new film named “Morbius 2: It’s Morbin’ Time,” which appears to be a script for a new film. Leto is seen in the video following a script for Morbius 2: Before the Curb, Your Enthusiasm tune plays in the background, it’s Morbin’ Time. You can know more by clicking on the tweet below.

Following a slew of Morbius memes, including “Morbin’ Time,” Jared Leto joins in the fun with a faux Morbius 2 script. Sony Pictures has proceeded to expand out another Marvel cinematic universe apart from Marvel Studios since Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy ended. The so-called Sony’s Spider-Man Universe began with Venom, starring Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, who, thanks to the iconic Symbiote, became the franchise’s first anti-hero. Following the success of the original Venom film, Sony quickly decided to not only make a sequel but also to expand their Spidey-inspired universe.

Following Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Morbius, played by Jared Leto of Suicide Squad, was the second Spider-Man villain to get the anti-hero treatment. The film Morbius, directed by Daniel Espinosa, follows Michael Morbius, who is suffering from a rare blood disease that he tries to cure with vampire bats. Michael, on the other hand, transforms into his Marvel Comics counterpart as a result of this experiment. Morbius, in the end, flopped at the movie office and was critically lambasted, receiving a 17 percent Rotten Tomatoes score from critics.

Although Morbius may not have met Sony Pictures’ expectations, the comic book adaptation has spawned millions of memes and gags about the Marvel flick. Leto was particularly taken with “Morbin’ Time,” a tribute to the Power Rangers. The camera operator approaches Leto in a new video he posted to Twitter, observing him examining a script, which is revealed to be a phony screenplay for Morbius 2: It’s Morbin’ Time.

Morbius 2

Despite the fact that Morbius was a box office bomb, the Marvel film is returning to theatres. Despite Leto’s amusing video, it’s worth noting that Sony Pictures has yet to say whether or not a Morbius 2 will be made, especially in light of the box office results. While Morbius as a series may not continue, Sony’s Spider-Man Universe continues to grow with new characters. Aaron Taylor-Johnson will play Sergei Kravinoff, a.k.a. Kraven, in the upcoming film Kraven the Hunter, which is now in production. Madame Web will star Dakota Johnson as the titular hero, following the addition of numerous new cast members in recent months.

As amusing as most of the Morbius jokes have been, it’s fantastic to see Leto’s reaction and that he can join in the fun. Even if there isn’t a sequel to Morbius, that doesn’t mean his role as a Marvel anti-hero is gone. There is at least a Spider-Man-related plotline for the production company to continue forward with in some manner, thanks to the post-credits sequence between Morbius and Michael Keaton’s Vulture. Given that Sony Pictures is still building its new universe, Leto could easily reprise the role in future films, whether it’s with unannounced characters or the confirmed Venom 3. Only we will have to see, but Morbius appears to be a series that has been postponed for the time being.

As Morbius became a viral sensation for days on end, many of us joked that Sony would develop a sequel based on the memes. Some fans, on the other hand, are adamant that this is precisely what they really want. Morbius 2 was trending on Twitter on May 29th, when fans began pushing for a sequel. When Morbius states “it’s morbin time” in Morbius 2, users speculated about theatrical audiences utterly losing it. Others called for Morbius to have his own universe, and some fans came up with Morbius film titles ranging from Morbius 1 to Morbius 10.
