Lady Gaga is set to take on the hard part of Patrizia Reggiani in the Ridley Scott biopic House of Gucci, following her triumphant debut in the film industry as Ally in the Oscar-nominated 2018 adaptation of A Star is Born. The adaption, which features a star-studded cast, is one of the most anticipated films of the year and a probable Academy Award candidate.
When Does House of Gucci Come Out?
Ridley Scott is a man who does not waste time! Scott’s second theatrical premiere of the year, House of Gucci, will arrive just in time for awards season, following the recently released The Last Duel. Despite the fact that the production began this year, House of Gucci was completed only in time to hit theatres a few months later. The official release date in the United States is November 24, 2021, making it a great watch to wear over the Thanksgiving holiday.

The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed is based on Sarah Gay Forden’s book.
Who is in the Gucci House Cast?
This is Lady Gaga’s second main part in a feature film, as previously stated. Gaga talked about her intensive preparation for her role as Gucci’s ex-wife and the one responsible for his assassination in a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal.
Adam Driver will co-star with her as fashion billionaire Maurizio Gucci, who we all know will have a horrible end.
The film will also feature a few more notable actors. Jared Leto, an Oscar winner, underwent a tremendous metamorphosis to become Paolo Gucci, Maurizio’s cousin and previous CEO of the design house. For the part, the actor had to wear prosthetics, apply aged makeup, and have a half-bald head.
The roles of Aldo Gucci and Rodolpho Gucci will be played by Al Pacino and Jeremy Irons, respectively.
Former Gucci group CEO Domenico De Sole will be played by Jack Huston, while former Gucci creative director Tom Ford will be played by Reeve Carney.
Giuseppina Auriemma, Patrizia’s partner in the murder conspiracy, will be played by Salma Hayek. Hayek has tenuous tie to the Gucci empire, which is a fun tidbit. François-Henri Pinault, the founder of Gucci parent firm Pinault-Printemps-Redoute, is the actress’s husband.
What Is Gucci House’s Purpose?
The film depicts three decades of real-life events in a spectacular manner. It will follow Patrizia Reggiani as she seduces Maurizio Gucci and marries him after a 12-year relationship. Following the famous couple’s breakup, Patrizia was once again linked to the Gucci brand, but this time not in a romantic sense.
Maurizio was declared deceased in 1995, and evidence suggests that his death was plotted by his ex-wife as a form of retaliation for him cheating on her with Paola Franchi. She had hired a hitman to assassinate the Gucci empire’s then-owner, and she faced a stormy trial before pleading guilty in 1998. Patrizia served 29 years in jail before being released 16 years later. The film House of Gucci will depict Patrizia’s (dubbed “Black Widow” by the Italian press) rise and fall, as well as the family dynamics behind one of the world’s most opulent fashion houses.
