Good Witch Season 8 Release Date and Renewal Status; Is it Canceled?

As Taylor Swift encapsulated in two different songs of her, (All Too Well, and Lover) ‘All’s Well That Ends Well,’ the mystical version of the ‘Gilmore Girls’, ‘Good Witch’ has finally concluded after running on our beloved screens and eventually on Netflix for 7 seasons. What started out as a movie (The Good Witch) that was released in the year 2008, was followed up by 6 more movies and a Hallmark TV show that garnered a huge following for the series. The widowed Cassie Nightingale, played by the wonderful Catherine Bell, is residing in the fictional town of Middleton with her daughter Grace Russell, played by Bailee Madison. Soon they have the Radfords as their neighbors and the classic tale of enemies to lovers ensues between Cassie and Sam (played by James Denton) before they are married and live happily ever after. Although a show about witches doesn’t end happily ever after without some discourse about curses and questioning the lineage of Cassie.

Reason for Cancelation of Good Witch Season 8 and Disappointment of Fans

Many reasons have been speculated for Good Witch Season 8 not getting a renewal approval, the main reason being that Bailee Madison left the show during the sixth season to pursue further roles than that of a teenage daughter. She however does make a cameo appearance in the 7th and final season of the show. Another main reason is the low rating the show garnered after the premiere of season 7, making the show the lowest rating show on Hallmark.
