Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson appear to have moved on from their behind-the-scenes squabbles in ‘Fast and Furious 8,’ in which the stars allegedly participated in physical assault.
The battle between Vin Diesel and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has raged for years, and Fast & Furious 10 should legitimise it. The enmity between Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel began when the former made many cameos in The Fast & Furious franchise. On the films, Diesel is both an actor and a producer, and Johnson allegedly had problem with his judgments and how he carried himself on set.
The feud became public during the production of The Fate of the Furious, the eighth film in the franchise, with Johnson calling out his co-star in a since-deleted Instagram post. Despite the fact that the duo had supposedly moved on from their differences, the quarrel continues to make headlines to this day.
F10 is set to be released in October 2020, with Justin Lin returning as director and Chris Morgan as a writer. It was planned to be released on April 2, 2021, before F9 took that date, leading the film to be pushed back to a later date and due to ongoing difficulties with the COVID-19 pandemic. It was also supposed to be released in February 2023, but it was pushed back to April 7, 2023.
Even when they weren’t working together, Johnson and Diesel had continued success in the Fast and Furious franchise. Because of the disagreement, Johnson left the main Fast and Furious movie and took his character, Luke Hobbs, to the first Fast and Furious spinoff. Hobbs & Shaw, Johnson’s 2019 film, grossed more than $750 million worldwide. Meanwhile, Diesel kept as Dominic Toretto in the major movie. F9 recently bucked box office estimates by debuting in theatres during a global pandemic. The film grossed over $700 million worldwide, making it one of the most successful films of 2021.
The plot of Fast & Furious 10
The plot of F10 is being kept under wraps in order to avoid rumors and conjecture. Furthermore, Fast & Furious 9 has been wrapped up so perfectly that there are no loose ends to conjecture about a scenario for Fast & Furious 10.
When Fast & Furious 10 reaches theatres in 2023, we can expect plenty of automobiles, explosions, collisions, and exploding cars.
Fast and Furious 10 cast
Many familiar faces will return to join F10. Fans’ favorite Vin Diesel plays Dom, who returns to the end of the First Saga. Justin Lin has stated that Fast & Furious 10 and Fast & Furious 11 may reintroduce Paul Walker. Before his untimely death in 2013, he appeared in every installment as Brian O’Conner (excluding The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, which was released in 2006).
John Cena previously stated that if the audience appreciates F9, he is willing to reprise his role as Jakob in another Fast and Furious film. In the Justin Lin-directed film, Cena plays Jakob, the alienated younger brother of Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto. In an interview with Insider, the actor was asked if he wanted to return for the franchise’s tenth instalment.
