Synopsis
Barbara Gordon, initially known as Betty Kane, is Bruce Wayne aka Batman’s ally. Together, they will stem crimes and fight for justice. Set in the fictional city of Gotham, the new Batgirl movie is sure to be a fun ride!
Batgirl Villian Revealed
The villain in this new Batgirl movie is going to be none other than Brendan Fraser!
Brendan James Fraser is a Canadian-American actor. He is well known for his roles in The Mummy franchise of movies, Bedazzled, Journey To The Centre Of The Earth, and Blast From The Past.
He will be seen as the pyro-themed Batgirl villain Firefly who was associated with ‘Batman’ villain Killer Moth – the first villain to ever go against the ‘Batgirl’ in comics.
The news of his casting was taken very well and fans are super excited to see what he will bring to the table in this very exciting, upcoming project.

Batgirl Release Date
There is no official release date for the Batgirl movie as of now. Production got delayed like many other films due to the coronavirus pandemic and hence got pushed.
All we know right now is that Batgirl will release sometime in 2022.

Where Will Batgirl Release?
Batgirl was initially meant to release in theatres, however, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, theatres shut down. They are slowly reopening now but not in all parts of the world as yet. Due to the uncertainty, the makers of the film have now confirmed that Batgirl will release on HBO max following Zack Snyder’s ‘Justice League.
Superhero movies have been a mainstay in the American film industry for years now and it is great to finally be seeing more representation of superheroines.
