Singer KK died during live concert in Kolkata

Krishnakumar Kunnath famously known as KK is one of the most enigmatic singers in India. The 53-year-old singer is known for singing cult classic songs like Dil Ibaadat, Ankhon Mein Teri, Woh Lamhe, and many more. KK was performing at a concert held on 30th and 31st May 2022 in Kolkata’s Nazrul Manch for Vivekananda College and Gurudas Mahavidyalaya respectively. But after his performance, he went back to the Grand Hotel, where he was staying due to feeling unwell. Later when he was taken to CMRI, he was declared to have been deceased. The news came as a great shock to his fans and his colleagues.

The news spread like wildfire and many thought it is just another viral hoax and did not believe in it. But soon after the minister for sports and youth affairs of West Bengal, Mr. Arup Biswas confirmed that the news is true. As of now, it is disclosed that he was feeling unwell while performing at the concert itself. No one anticipated that this will happen and the event has saddened the entire music industry.

KK is one of the eminent singers of India. He playback many songs from Bollywood. He recorded his songs in Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Assamese, and Gujrati languages. He was performing a concert in Kolkata’s Nazrul Mancha for Gurudas Mahavidyalaya. As per reports, he was told to switch off the spotlight of the stage. But he finished his concert and he sat backstage for while then he returned to his hotel in Esplanade and he feel heart pain and fell to the floor of his hotel room. After which he was rushed to Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI) and the doctors of CMRI declared that he is dead. The post-mortem of KK’s body will be done tomorrow morning. Mr. Arup Biswas Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs told that his son and wife will come by in tomorrow morning. Fans of KK can’t believe this news. Many celebrities have tweeted about the loss of India’s singing icon.

Krishnakumar Kunnath also known as KK was an Indian playback singer. He playback his songs in many languages, he was born on 23rd August 1968 in Delhi. KK’s popular songs are Tadap Tadap, Hum Dil de chuke Sanam, Appadi Podu, Dola re Dola re, India Wale, and Tu Jo Mila. He has received six nominations for Filmfare Awards and a Filmfare Award South. A span of four years of his career, he sang more than 3,500 jingles across 11 languages as he was told to sing jingles for a TV advertisement.

Fans of KK can’t believe this news as KK is no more with us. He is a very great singer and he playback his songs in 9 different languages of India. He felt unwell on the stage, but he completed his concert and went back to the hotel. Then he was rushed to CMRI in Kolkata and the doctors of CMRI declared that he is no more. KK died at the age of 53 in Kolkata.
