Resident Alien Season 3 Release Date and Renewal Updates 2023

An update on Resident Alien season 3 has been revealed by Alan Tudyk as the current season draws to a close. The Syfy series stars Tudyk as Harry Vanderspeigle, an eccentric doctor who lives in a cabin in Patience, Colorado, and is charged with taking over as the town’s new doctor after the passing of its original. Tudyk is well-known for his voice work and his acclaimed performance as Wash on Firefly. The residents of Patience have no idea that Harry is actually an alien who crash-landed on Earth and is trying to fix his spacecraft so he can finish his goal to eradicate humanity. However, his relationships with the villagers have caused him to have second thoughts.

With Harry having wrecked his ship after finding Max was still on board, Resident Alien season 2 takes up immediately after the season 1 conclusion. The rest of the season saw Harry and Asta hide from the military and Terry O’Quinn’s alien-obsessed Peter while also caring for an egg from another alien who had died on Earth at some point in the past. They also had to race against time to get a message to Harry and Asta’s people asking them to hold off on sending another agent to Earth to wipe out humanity. Several plot lines have been nearing their height in recent episodes, and now viewers are getting an intriguing update regarding the already confirmed Resident Alien season 3.

The expected plot of Resident Alien Season 3

Although Tudyk suggested that Resident Alien season 3 filming would begin in January, it should be noted that he also said in the same interview that he had not yet seen any scripts for the following season. There is still plenty of time for showrunner Chris Sheridan and the writer’s room to complete the remaining scripts for season 3 with just over three months remaining. In addition, with Tudyk hinting that he has already started compiling a playlist of songs to send to Sheridan for possible inclusion in Resident Alien season 3, he seems just as anxious to resume filming the popular Syfy comedy series as viewers are in the run-up to the season 2 finale.

Resident Alien season 3 might see a number of new actors join the show’s ensemble cast given that the current season has seen the door open up for a wide host of new aliens as well as the release of those held hostage by the military. Morena Baccarin was mentioned as someone who Tudyk was interested in bringing on for cameo appearances in the program, and he even hinted that he had the ideal role in mind for her. The first two seasons of Resident Alien are currently available on Peacock, allowing viewers to catch up.

Resident Alien season 3 Release Date

The Resident Alien third season has recently been renewed, however as of July 22, 2022, the Syfy network has not yet provided a specific release date. The good news is that the upcoming season will surely include 12 episodes, and production is slated to begin on schedule, as it did for the first two seasons. Given that the network announced the renewal on time, the viewers seem to be reassured that the upcoming season won’t be postponed and will be published sooner than they had anticipated.

If we were to guess, the release date would most likely occur in the first half of 2023. According to the previous season’s release timetable, the start of the series’ rollout would most likely be in January 2023. Additionally, we want to emphasize that everything at this moment is merely speculation. Therefore, viewers should keep an eye on the Syfy network in the upcoming months as it will announce and confirm the official release dates.
