What are the sources of the overlord Season 4?

Overlord Season 4 has been adopted from the volumes of a light novel and manga. The anime TV series Overlord is called Obarodo in Japan. The series is based on a popular and successful light novel that was published in 2012 first.

The light series of the novel has been written by Kungane Maruyama and has been illustrated by so-bin. There have been 14 volumes published of the series of novels in Japan as of 2022 March. An Overlord Manga is also popular among fans. It has released a total of 16 volumes till now. Manga and novel series are highly recommended for anime fans to get the animes in detail.

Has the Overlord novel been concluded?

The novel series of Overlord is still being worked upon but reports say that it will be concluded pretty soon. According to the author’s statement, the series will be concluded with Volume 17. The author, Kugane Maruyama published the newest volume, the volume 14 in Japan on 12th March 2020. There are no new volumes published since then. But the volume 15 of the Overlord light novel is going to be published on 30th June 2022.

Which of the volumes would be covered by Overlord Season 4?

Overlord Season 4 will be covering probably the 10th, 11th, and 12th light novel volumes. And the upcoming movie is expected to cover some part of the 12th volume and the whole 13th volume.

This has been figured out as each of the seasons of Overlord has adopted three volumes. The 1st to 3rd volumes were adopted by Season 1, the 4th to 6th by Season 2, and the 7th to 9th by Season 3 hence, the rest of the volumes would be adopted by the rest of the seasons and episodes or movies possibly.

Overlord will have the same number of episodes as the previous three seasons and it will be very exciting to see what happens next in the adventures of Ainz or Momonga.

Will there be a Fifth season too?

Yes. We all can mostly expect a Season 5 also from the series because there are still four volumes left from the novel series if we count the previous ones into the series till now and a movie. So the directors might make another season and there is a very slight chance of another movie too covering the not-yet-published 17th volume of the novel.

Also, the Overlord Manga might be published more if the writer wills to. There might be some new volumes of the Overlord Manga in the future. So there will be a heavy rain of Overlord in the coming days over the fans.
