The Plot of No Game No Life
The plot of No Game No Life revolves around Shiro and Sora, a sister and brother who have excellent reputations as brilliant NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) hikikomouri (shut-in) gamers spread throughout the urban legends all across the Internet. These two brothers and sisters even consider the real world just another “Crappy Game”.
One random day, they get a mysterious email and they end up getting summoned by a boy named “Tet”, who is the God of the world of Games, to an alternate world. In the alternate world, God has prohibited any kind of war or battle, violence, stealing, and other crimes and has declared in this world that “everything will be decided by games”. Everything means literally everything. Even national borders. Mankind has been decelerated back into one remaining city by the other races.
The God of Games presses several challenges on and among the Epic Brother-Sister Duo. The show shows how Sora and Shiro, the good-for-nothing siblings, become the “Saviours of Humanity” in this Alternate World.
Source Material of No Game No Life
No Game No Life which is known as No Gemu No Raifu in Japanese is based on a successful light novel of the same name written by Yu Kamiya. As of February 2022, 11 volumes of No Game No Life light novel have been published in Japan. Along with the light novel, there is s No Game No Life manga also. The manga just contains 2 volumes from 2013 and 2018.
But the Light Novel is still being worked upon by the writer Yu Kamiya. The author stated that the story of No Game No Life is about to enter its last chapter in volume 11. So it will be very soon when Volume 12 will be starting.
The first season of No Game No Lie has covered 3 volumes of the light novel. No Game No Life Season 2 will be taking from the 4th volume to the 7th volume probably. But the 6th volume has already been taken by the movie of No Game No Life. So the second season might use the 4th, 5th, and 7th volumes. This shows that at least two more seasons could be made out of the remaining and continuing volumes.
