Larry Quisel was a former wrestling champion who competed for Park High School in Livingston, Montana and Boise State University in Idaho.
He won two state titles in Montana and two Pac-10 titles and two All-American honors in Boise State.
He made NCAA history in 1999 by winning eight consecutive matches after losing his first round and finishing third in the national tournament.
He also defeated the defending champion from Iowa in the semifinals in 2000 and placed second in the nation.
He passed away on September 28, 2018, at the age of 41, of natural causes while hunting on a mountain outside Crouch, Idaho.
He was survived by his wife Heather, his three children, his parents, his siblings, and his extended family.
