Bridgerton Season 2 Release Date Officially CONFIRMED by Netflix

Bridgerton Season 2 date is now officially announced by Netflix. The series is all set to release on March 25, 2022. The series is a period drama created by Chris Van Dausen. The series is based on the novel set by Julia Quinn. It is produced by Shonda Rhimes and is her first Netflix transcribed series.

The first season of the series was one of the highest-watched series on Netflix. It was released last year in Christmas 2020. Since then the second series of the season was highly anticipated. The first season had eight episodes and gained a positive response from the viewers. The second series of Bridgerton will be based on the second book from the Julia Quinn series named ‘The Viscount Who Loved Me.’ ‘Sex Education‘ actress Simone Ashley is also a part of the second series of Bridgerton. She would be seen playing the role of Kate Sharma in the series.

The first season of the series focused on the relationship of Daphne Bridgerton and The Duke of Hastings. Whereas in season 2 we would witness the emotional relationship between Lorde Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma and Edwina Sharma. Two sisters came from India.

Many of the cast members will not be a part of the second season. The cast playing the role of siblings would very much be a part of the second season. But it is difficult to say how their stories will unfold in the upcoming series. Golda Rosheuvel who played the role of Queen Charlotte is returning along with Adjoa Andoh playing Lady Danbury.

In a recent interview, Adoja Andoh shared the pressure from fans just before the release of Bridgerton season 2. She said in the interview that the second part of the series brings more pressure. However, the pressure is something that motivates her to work harder than before.

The producer Shonda Rhimes shared that there would be little deviations in the series as compared to the novel. She is also expecting positive feedback from the audience for the Bridgerton season 2. Netflix shared the first look of the upcoming season in September 2021. However, fans are still waiting for the trailer release of Bridgerton season 2.

The upcoming season will focus on the pursuit of the perfect marriage of Daphne Bridgerton’s elder brother Anthony. The Julia Quinn novel series was released from 2000 – 2013. The series focussed mainly on the shiny, wealthy, sexual yet painful life of England women and men in the high society marriage mart. The story is narrated through the eyes of the Bridgeton family.

The cast of Bridgerton includes  Phoebe Dynevor, Golda Rosheuvel, Jonathan Bailey, Luke Newton, Claudia Jessie, Nicola Coughlan, Ruby Barker, Sabrina Bartlett, Ruth Gemmell, Adjoa Andoh, Polly Walker, Bessie Carter and Harriet Cains, and Julie Andrews as the voice of Lady Whistledown. In season 2 of the series, we would also see Shelley Conn, Calam Lynch, Charithra Chandran, and Rupert Young, Rupert Evans.

Fans are quite thrilled by this announcement. Now everyone is waiting for a trailer release of Bridgerton Season 2 by Netflix.
