Team Orochi Revealed: Chris To Return From The Dead In The King Of Fighters XV

SNK Official released the new gameplay from their upcoming fighter The King of Fighters XV game to be released later in 2021. The developers have reunited Team Orochi for the first time in nearly 20 years by bringing Chris back into the picture.

The trailer shows Chris, who had first appeared in The King of Fighters 1997. He is a member of Team Orochi and has been brought back to life alongside Yashiro and Shermie.

The King of Fighters XV features eye-catching graphics which are needed for such a technical fighting game. The game will feature a main campaign revolving around Shun’ei and how he acquired his mysterious powers at a young age. The game will also have a story for other characters on the roster.

It should be noted that King of Fighters XV is looking great visually with amazing graphics and outstanding overall gameplay.

Chris is the vocalist of a rock group. Like Shermie and Yashiro, Chris is also a member of the Four Heavenly Kings of Orochi. At first glance, Chris seems like a well-mannered boy, however his angelic smile hides his devilish intentions.

Yashiro is the lead guitarist of the same rock group. He has undergone multiple reincarnations for the past 660 years as he is a member of the Four Heavenly Kings of Orochi. He develops an interest in the mysterious powers wielded by the strange being known as Verse and sets out with his friends Shermie and Chris to join KOF.

Charming but dangerous, Shermie is both a fashion designer and the lead keyboardist for the band. Her true nature is the same as Yashiro and Chris, as she herself is a member of the Four Heavenly Kings of Orochi. She incorporates her love for pro wrestling into her attacks, where she relies on her flexibility to toss her opponents around. Shermie is very amicable to those around her, and though she seems quite laid back, nobody really knows if this is an act too.

Chris looks like to be the main focus of the game. His fighting style is mainly using acrobatic maneuvers to trick the enemies about how his attack. He retains a lot of his original style. In some cases, it looks like he is creating illusions with his super-speed to move around and gain a positional advantage.
It seems like his “kill with an in innocent smile” motif seems to have been pulled back a bit without the influence of Orochi. We won’t actually know how different the Orochi trio is until we see more of the updates from the developers.
However, the game has not been confirmed for PC yet, and all the character trailers didn’t shed any light on that matter. However, a KOF game coming to PC is a kind of obvious. After all, every other game in the franchise is available on PC. In the meantime, you can check out the game’s official site for more information and the rest of the trailers revealed so far.
The character trailers are also available on SNK Official’s YouTube channel.
