Born on December 31, 1986, in Selma, California, Susannah was part of a lineage deeply rooted in the land. She hailed from a family that had tilled the same soil for generations—a small grape farm southwest of Selma, homesteaded by her great-great-great grandmother, Lucy Anna Davis, in the late 1870s. This very farm was also the birthplace of her paternal grandmother, the late Justice Pauline Davis Hanson of Fresno.
A Scholar and Adventurer
Susannah’s journey took her from the sun-kissed vineyards of California to the bustling streets of Santiago, Chile. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a degree in European History and later earned a Master’s in Public Policy from Pepperdine University. Her passion for learning and adventure led her to teach English as a second language in Chile, where she became fluent in Spanish.

Susannah’s professional path was equally remarkable. She worked as a research analyst and biographer at the University of Southern California, contributing to fundraising efforts for USC’s graduate operations. Her dedication and intellect left an indelible mark on the university community.
