D2 represents Ubisoft’s continued effort to deliver its survival gameplay in a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C., teeming with gangs and military forces. In this setting, players are tasked with carrying out military operations, scavenging for weapons and gear, and consistently enhancing their agent’s capabilities through Division 2 boosting.
Military operations
Full-fledged combat missions await you, in which the military destroys gangs and other military personnel who are preventing the restoration of control in the region, and at the same time you will gain experience and boosting in Division 2, obtain weapons and armor and simply have fun solving difficult problems on your own, or in team with other gamers.
Outpost assaults
There are many gangs of varying strengths and numbers of operatives roaming throughout the state, so players who want to make their combat forays safer and reduce the number of enemies in the region must capture and control outposts.
This will help you produce resources and materials and reduce the number of enemies.
It’s simple – you need to get into the center of the defensive line and knock out all the opponents from it. It will be better if you first shoot at the enemies with a sniper rifle to reduce the risks and the number of defenders, and then get closer and complete the capture using cover and confident actions.
These are interesting tasks for assault, and then defense, because from time to time the enemies will plan attacks in order to regain control of the region, and you will repel the attacks, otherwise you will have to storm the outpost again, and the number of enemies will again be increased.
Scavenge for weapons and gear
At the very beginning of the game, you will not have full-fledged and high-quality equipment and weapons, and you will have to look for them during boosting in Division 2 and constantly work to get better weapons.
Every weapon comes with a quality tier – common, uncommon, rare, mythic, and legendary, with higher tiers offering enhanced damage, accuracy, and firing rate. You need to have two types of weapons with you – an assault rifle and a sniper rifle.
An assault rifle is the most common and versatile type of weapon, which allows you to fight at any distance with all opponents and destroy them even with one shot with sufficient skill and the ability to shoot in the head. Assault weapons like the M4 have high and dense damage that no other automatic weapon can match.
You need an additional sight and a silencer that will help you in battle at any distance without giving away your position ahead of time. Look for a legendary, or at least mythic level weapon and then in most skirmishes you will have an advantage.
Armor works in the opposite effect – the higher the quality, the higher the level of protection and, accordingly, so that your boosting in D2 is not interrupted, you need to have a legendary body armor and helmet in order to withstand similar weapons from your enemy.
A helmet is necessary because it increases the likelihood of surviving a hit to the head or when shrapnel breaks, and a bulletproof vest almost halves the damage from a hit to the body, and you only have to cover your neck and legs.
Grow your agent
Your operative is a character who gets the opportunity to develop his skills as he gains levels in the game.
This includes an increased amount of experience and an increased amount of resources when dismantling unnecessary equipment and assisting in aiming.
Disassemble equipment and weapons rather than sell them
As you play, you will knock out a lot of different and not particularly high-quality equipment and weapons from other players and bandits, which can be sold to merchants or dismantled.
It is better to break equipment, because this allows you to accumulate simple resources for future crafting of the items you need, and always have a chance to get an increased trophy while working with equipment and resources.
Trading will bring you money, which is not as effective as different materials for future crafting, because getting Mythic and Legendary equipment is not so easy, and sometimes it is more profitable to just create it yourself.
Conclusions
D2 is one of the most interesting shooters from Ubisoft, which combines full-fledged military operations and the fight against bandits, and at the same time a constant hunt for equipment and weapons to get a boost in Division 2.
You will start at a military base and take part in operations to weaken the control of bandits in the Washington region, and at the same time you will be able to develop your hero and learn new skills in leveling up, disassembling weapons and aiming assistance.
You will attack and hold outposts that will reduce the number of enemies in the region, making it easier for you to hunt for equipment and weapons.
You will collect weapons and armor with helmets of varying quality from ordinary to legendary, and at the same time constantly disassemble items for resources and accelerated crafting.
Remember that your armor and helmet must directly match your opponents and if they have high damage, then you simply will not withstand direct combat.
After each sortie, return to the military base, analyze the situation, draw conclusions, recycle resources and prepare for new battles.
Military operations bring experience as a percentage, so it is better to postpone them until later, when it will be much more difficult to gain experience and only then get your maximum boost in D2.
