With the introduction of Star Wars Andor, the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story prequel starring Diego Luna as Cassian Andor, Disney+ has offered yet another intriguing future Star Wars series. The conclusion of Rogue One revealed Cassian’s fate in a galaxy far, far away. The Rebel spy worked with Jyn Erso and others as part of Rogue One to obtain the Death Star blueprints. But, like every other member of Rogue One, he died as a result of the courageous endeavor.
Despite the fact that Cassian’s journey has come to an end, Lucasfilm and Disney will continue to investigate his history. A prequel to Rogue One starring Andor is one of the Star Wars programs in development for Disney+. The series, fittingly named Andor, takes place five years before Andor’s death. This location allows Andor to demonstrate how Cassian evolved into the hardened soldier who was first shown to fans in 2016. Tony Gilroy, who handled reshoots on Rogue One, joined the project to make it ready for Disney+, and the series almost didn’t continue forward.
Release Date of Andor
Star Wars Andor Disney+ release date has yet to be announced by Lucasfilm. Andor, on the other hand, is set to make his debut in 2022. It’s unlikely that a specific release date will be revealed for some time, especially because The Mandalorian season 3 won’t be released until Christmas 2021. Andor’s twelve-episode first season is expected to premiere in spring or summer 2022.
Details of the Andor Story
Apart from the fact that Andor is a precursor to Rogue One, no official plot information has been revealed. StarWars.com did, however, offer a logline for the series when it was first announced in 2018.
Andor’s Casting
Around actor Diego Luna, who reprises his role as Cassian Andor, the cast for Star Wars Andor is extremely outstanding. After the droid and Cassian were revealed to have a developed friendship at the opening of Rogue One, Alan Tudyk has announced that he will reprise his role as K-2SO. Genevieve O’Reilly will also reprise her role as Mon Mothma in Star Wars. Stellan Skarsgard (Thor), Adria Arjona (Morbius), Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve), Denise Gough (The Kid Who Would Be King), and Kyle Soller (Andor) are among the new cast members (Poldark).

Where was ‘Andor’ filmed?
Star Wars Andor was largely filmed at Pinewood Studios in London, as well as various locations in England and Scotland. Andor has observed filming scenes at a quarry in Dorset, according to the BBC. According to another Daily Mail story, members of the Andor cast and crew were observed filming at a cafe in Lancashire as well as a town in Buckinghamshire. A sizzle clip for Andor showed some behind-the-scenes filming information as well as some intriguing Andor concept art.
The Trailer for Star Wars: Andor
While no official trailer has been released, a sizzle reel for the Disney+ series was shown at Disney’s Investor Day 2020. Along with recalling why Rogue One brought together old and new fans, it also underlined how big the program will be, with the crew commenting that the series is on the scale of a feature picture. The video also confirms that Season 1 would consist of 12 episodes and will contain 200 identified characters.
