Spoiler: AUNT MAY DEAD in Spiderman No Way Home

Introduction

Well… well… well… the newest trailer has shown something to us that can prove itself something brain-storming. Yeah, today’s topic is gonna be the probable death of Aunt May. The latest trailer of the upcoming MCU movie Spider-Man: No way Home has exposed various details about this movie. In previous trailers of this forthcoming movie, we have seen the five members of the Sinister Six coming after Peter Parker (Tom Holland). Alfred Molina is gonna reprise his role of Doc Ock, Jamie Foxx returning as Electro, and Lastly, Willem Dafoe gonna bring back Green Goblin again. The previous trailers have shown us that the bad guys don’t recognize Peter Parker (Tom Holland) as the Spider-Man they are looking for.

Aside from the fact that the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home is gonna present a ton of new characters, we can see in the trailer that the movie is also making many characters return as well! The crush of Peter Parker, Marry Jane (Zendaya), and his best buddy, Ned (Jacob Batalon) returns to the movie and lastly falls into deep trouble for Peter as we could see in the last trailer. Besides that, Aunt May (Marisa Tomei) and Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) returns to guide Peter out of all this mess and the editor of the Newspaper, The Daily Bugle, J. Jonah Jameson (J.K. Simmons), who was also in the previous movie Spider-Man: Far from Home, makes his appearance in the trailer as the main force that is brainwashing the common people against Spider-Man.

What exactly happens?

So, what exactly happened in the trailer that’s forcing us to see it as a potential death warrant for Aunt May? In the middle of the trailer, we saw that Spider-Man is facing one of the bad guys, Green Goblin. And in the middle of this situation, there is Aunt May. As Green Goblin throws a bomb in the direction of Aunt May, Tom Holland’s Peter Parker dives in to catch the bomb. But we saw that Spider-Man couldn’t stop the bomb ultimately and the bomb exploded without giving anybody any second chance. Afterward, we could see a scene, featuring Aunt May. She was running and the surrounding around her and the lighting looked just as same as the previous sequence with the bomb. Although the trailer stops here, this might be a signal about the probable death of Aunt May.

Now, what’s the actual significance of the death of Aunt May? The Spider-Man franchise presented by Marvel Cinematic Universe has never shown the story where Peter Parker actually becomes Spider-Man. This signifies that Peter Parker has never got his time of realization about the death of his uncle ben parker. As we have seen from the very beginning that Uncle Ben is dead, we can assume that Peter can now see his aunt’s death as his turning point.

Not to say out loud, but this death of Aunt May theory is only some speculations assumed by fans like us. As we all know MCU, always tends to juggle with the minds of the fans wind their editing skills. Aunt May might just survive the blast, or as after the death of Peter’s uncle, She was the main guardian figure behind Peter, so maybe it will make some sense to give her the scene?
