The TNT original Snowpiercer is an American post-apocalyptic dystopian thriller series that has been adapted from the 1982 French graphic novel Le Transperceneige written by Jacques Lob, Benjamin Legrand, and Jean-Marc Rochette. About Snowpiercer
The series questions and deals with Class warfare, social injustice, and the politics of survival. Snowpiercer faced a number of production issues and delays while it was getting developed at TNT for over three years. The delays emerged due to the creative differences between the producers of the series and the network. The previous renewals of the series have traveled a long way and time for reaching the audience and fans.
There were several decisions taken for the airing of the series on other networks. But the decision to alter the streaming platform was reversed due to some production issues. The first season of Snowpiercer was aired in the second quarter of 2020 on TNT at last. Plot Summary of Snowpiercer
The series has been set in the year 2026 which is seven years post the world becomes a frozen wasteland. The story follows the remnants of mankind who have got inhabited and taken shelter on a constantly moving luxury train called Snowpiercer. The train was designed and built by the eccentric billionaire of the 21st Century, Mr. Wilford.
The train contains 1,001 carriages and is of a length that can circle the globe 2.7 times per year. The perpetual motion of the train gives the passengers energy and prevents the passengers from getting frozen as well. Since the catastrophe of the freezing phenomenon has taken place, the population of the train has gotten distributed by class, stuck in a revolutionary struggle against the strictly forced social hierarchy and unweighted and unbalanced allocation of limited resources.

When is Snowpiercer Season 4 going to release?
The renewal of the fourth season was announced in July 2021 before the third season even premiered in January 2022. It was also announced that the fourth season will be the series finale. The fourth season will be the final scripted original TV series to be aired on TNT prior to the production of the original programming being ceased. A spokesperson for the US network shared his statement about Snowpiercer Season 4 that:
“We can confirm that Snowpiercer will end after a successful, multi-season run on TNT. Its talented writers, actors, and crew took an extraordinary premise and brought it to life in thrilling ways. It was critically acclaimed, had a significant impact on the post-apocalyptic genre, and now remains in the hearts and minds of the fans forever.”
The production of the fourth season is underway right now. A release date is still to be confirmed and announced for the final season. Also, Paul Zbyszewsky, who took over the show for running by replacing executive producers Graeme Manson and Aubrey Nealon, said about his joining of the crew:
