A Valiant and Tremendous Fight Against Cancer
Peter Daniel Saint John, a loving husband, father, and friend, passed away on December 11, 2013, after a valiant and tremendous fight against cancer. He was 43 years old.
Peter was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2013, after experiencing some unusual symptoms. He underwent months of chemotherapy, but the treatment was not successful. He was told that he had only a few weeks to live.
According to his wife, Bozoma Saint John, who is the chief marketing officer at Netflix, Peter’s diagnosis created an urgency for them to do everything they wanted to do before he was gone. They went camping, made up with friends, cleared the air, and cherished every moment they had together.
Peter also spent quality time with his daughter, Lael, who was four years old at the time. He taught her how to ride a bike, how to play chess, and how to be brave. He also wrote her notes, which Bozoma would place on her pillow, so that she would always know how much he loved her.
A Legacy of Love and Inspiration
Peter was born in December 1969, and grew up in New York City. He graduated from Columbia University with a degree in economics, and pursued a career in advertising. He worked for several agencies, including Ogilvy & Mather, BBDO, and Wieden+Kennedy. He was known for his creativity, passion, and leadership.
Peter met Bozoma in 2003, and they fell in love at first sight. They got married in 2004, and welcomed their daughter, Eve, in 2009. However, tragedy struck when Eve died shortly after birth. Peter and Bozoma supported each other through their grief, and decided to adopt Lael in 2010.
Peter was a devoted husband and father, who always put his family first. He was also a loyal friend, who had a great sense of humor and a generous spirit. He loved music, sports, travel, and adventure. He was an avid fan of the New York Knicks, the New York Giants, and the New York Yankees.
