Thor: Love and Thunder is a forthcoming sequel to 2017 released Thor: Ragnarok. The movie is yet another marvel cinematic universe production based on superhero Thor. The movie is written and directed by Taika Waititi. The movie is said to be inspired by Jason Aaron’s mighty thor wherein the comic shows the event of Odinson losing the ability to lift Mjolnir and thereafter Jane will be seen lifting it and at the same time during human hours will be seen battling Cancer. As confirmed by the director, the movie will be filled with emotions, actions and also covers the area of romance in full bloom.
Cast And Characters
Looking forward to the cast of the series, Chris Hemsworth will be reprising his lead role of Thor, king of Asgard. The most interesting return to the cast is Natalie Portman in the role of Jane Foster or Mighty Thor. She is also Thor’s ex-girlfriend and will be seen having some powers of her own in the upcoming movie. Kevin also confirmed the addition of a character of the LGBTQ+ community in the form of Valkyrie. The role will be filled in by Tessa Thompson and the role will officially address its sexuality. Christian Bale will be seen playing the role of villain as Gorr the God Butcher.
Guardians Of Galaxy Link Up
As confirmed by Vin Diesel and Chris Pratt, the movie will also see some involvement of Guardians and Galaxy and thus the addition of Chris Pratt, Pom Klementiff, Sean Gunn, Jamie Alexander, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, and Vin Diesel only makes sense. Chris will be seen reprising his role of Star-lord or Peter Quill who is the half-human and half celestial leader. Pom will play the role of Mantis who has some interesting powers. Sean will play the former second in command in ravagers as Kraglin Obfonteri. Jamie will be seen as thor’s childhood friend and a warrior in the role of Sif. Dave will return as Drax who is a quite skilled warrior. Karen will play Nebula, yet another guardian, and is also an assassin while Vin diesel will be seen in the infamous role of Groot.
The Grandmaster
There is another name that has been linked to the already star-studded movie whose confirmation was not given up until recently when the actor himself teased and indicated his presence in the movie. The actor is Jeff Goldblum, who is known for his epic role in Jurassic Park and the upcoming Jurassic World Dominion was earlier rumored to be appearing in the movie. Jeff was also spotted in Australia meeting the cast and crew of the upcoming Thor movie. His sudden appearance in Australia and meeting with the members was linked to his appearance in the movie.
However, no confirmation was given about the same, But recently in an episode of EXPLAIN THIS, a video series, the Jurassic park fame teased and said that he can’t tell about something that has to do with Hemsworth and Taika. He said that even though he has so much to tell but the fans have to wait for the official announcement. These incidents have all the more confirmed his presence in the movie where the actor will return for the role of Grandmaster.
Release And Trailer
The movie after being pushed back four times has landed upon the release date of 8 July 2022 and the trailer for the same is expected to arrive next year a few months back the official release.
