Tamina and Roman Reigns are cousins through marriage
The answer is yes, Tamina and Roman Reigns are related, but not by blood. They are cousins through marriage, as Tamina’s father, Jimmy “The Superfly” Snuka, married into the Anoa’i family when he wedded Tamina’s mother, Sharon Georgi, in 1964.
Jimmy Snuka was a legendary wrestler himself, known for his high-flying style and his signature move, the Superfly Splash. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1996. He passed away in 2017 at the age of 73.
Tamina’s mother, Sharon Georgi, was the daughter of Lia Maivia, who was the wife of High Chief Peter Maivia. Peter Maivia was a Samoan wrestler and promoter who was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008. He was the grandfather of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who is also a cousin of Roman Reigns.
The Anoa’i family traces its roots back to Amituana’i Anoa’i, who was a high chief of American Samoa and the patriarch of the wrestling dynasty. He had several sons who became wrestlers, including Afa and Sika, who formed the tag team The Wild Samoans. Afa and Sika are the uncles of Roman Reigns, whose real name is Leati Joseph Anoa’i.

Yeah, I would love to join The Bloodline, but sometimes there’s some things that you just gotta wait on the timing.” – said Tamina.
Tamina is currently one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions with Natalya. They won the titles at WrestleMania 37 by defeating Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.
Roman Reigns is currently the WWE Universal Champion and the self-proclaimed Tribal Chief of the Anoa’i family. He has been feuding with Brock Lesnar, who is managed by his former advocate Paul Heyman.
It remains to be seen if Tamina and Roman Reigns will ever team up on WWE TV, but it would certainly be a powerful alliance that would make their family proud.
