Written and illustrated by Koin, Bofuri: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, So I’ll Max Out My Defense is a very popular light novel series that was bought by Fujimo Shobo. The comical adventure story has also been adapted into an anime version, that debuted in January 2020 with its first season. The season concluded in the March of the same year and was binge-watched by a huge portion of viewers during the Covid pandemic period. Maple in Bofuri Entered Our Hearts!
Maple is a newbie to video games but is convinced by Sally to try NewWorld Online, a virtual reality video game. Maple makes her first explorations alone as Sally was busy studying. Maple joins a battle royal event and manages to defeat everyone to grab third place. Risa joins the game as Sally the next day and goes to a cave with Maple to gather elements for a new shield. Maple and Sally discover a dungeon with a boss, defeating whom they earned the medals. The duo head towards Kuromu’s party and later have a face-off with the ice-bird boss, Silverwing.
They defeat the boss by completely exhausting their strengths. They now have enough to purchase a guild house. The third event displayed the participants obtaining bells from cow enemies. Sally and Kanade are now hunting for more orbs while Chrome and others have to prepare an ambush. Maple is left with Mai whereas Yui has the responsibility to defend the base. As Sally gets back, Maple and the team launch an attack on the Flame Emperors and destroy all their traps until they now have a face-off with Mii, Markus, and Misery.

Bofuri anime is written by Fumihiko Shimo and the animation work has been given to Silver Link Studio. The talented duo of Shin Oonuma and Mirai Minato directed the series and Taro Masuda is credited for the amazing background score. Crunchyroll holds the license to the series and has also aired its first season on its official website with a total of 12 episodes.

September Marks the Release of Bofuri Season 2
Bofuri Season 1 aired its first episode titled “Defence and First Battle” in January and ended with the season finale titled “Defence and Bonds” in March 2020. In September, the makers renewed the show for a second season, quite faster than we expect from the makers of other series. Now we have the news of Bofuri Season 2 to be ready for airing on 17 September 2022.
As of now, a 28-second-long teaser has been officially presented by the showrunners of Bofuri Season 2. The teaser has blossomed hype and excitement amongst anime lovers. We don’t have an official full-length trailer as of now but the team has been teasing glimpses of the adventures loading in Bofuri Season 2.

Where to Watch Bofuri Season 2? A Little Peak into the Storyline
The first season brought 12 episodes to the series and season 2 is expected to follow the path. AT-X, ABC, Tokyo MX, TVA, and BS11 broadcasted Bofuri Season 1 while Crunchyroll aired the season with English subtitles. English dubbed version was also released and Season 2 will have the same pattern.
Bofuri Season 1 finale depicted NewWorld Online’s latest community event where Maple Tree was one of the final standing teams. Holy Sword vs Maple Tree is the point of their strengths. Maple and Payne turn out to be the finalists where Payne had almost put Maple closer to death but her Atrocity form is still beneath her.
