If you’re a fan of bone-crunching action and epic showdowns, you’ll be thrilled to hear that Baki Hanma Season 2 is dropping this summer on Netflix. The anime series, based on the legendary manga by Keisuke Itagaki, follows the adventures of Baki Hanma, a young martial artist who wants to beat his dad, Yujiro Hanma, the strongest man on the planet.
The first season of Baki Hanma, which came out in September 2021, blew us away with its awesome animation and voice acting. It adapted the final arc of the manga, where Baki finally gets to face his father in a fight that will shake the earth. The second season will pick up where the first one left off and introduce new characters and challenges for Baki and his pals.
The official Twitter account of the anime gave us a sneak peek of the second season with a teaser poster that shows Baki and Yujiro staring each other down. The poster also revealed that the second season will have 13 episodes and will be available for everyone on Netflix.
Baki Hanma is the third anime adaptation of the manga, which has been running since 1991 and has spawned several spin-offs and crossovers. The manga is famous for its brutal and intense fight scenes, as well as its diverse cast of fighters from different martial arts styles and backgrounds.
We can’t wait to see what the second season has in store for us. Will Baki be able to defeat his father? Will he find love along the way? Will he make new friends or enemies? What surprises and twists will the anime throw at us? And will there be more seasons after this one?
Baki Hanma Season 2 is set to be one of the hottest anime releases of this summer, along with other titles such as My Hero Academia Season 5, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2, and The Promised Neverland Season 2.
