Zootopia 2 Renewed Or Canceled? Will It Release On Disney+?

INTRODUCTION

Fan of animated movies? You better have heard about the movie “Zootopia.” unlike the legendary lifestyle-based movies like “Inside Out”, this movie touches a sensitive part of life when we always think that we are a failure. “Zootopia” widely named as “Zootropolis” across some other regions, focuses on an interesting point, that is “You can be anything as you want to be.” in a precisely straightforward but delicate way. This American animation-based movie was released back in 2016 and made a gross income of 1billion USD. Pretty much successful right? Along with the money, it made a dedicated fanbase also including members from every age category. And, now Zootopia 2 is rumored and it will be the sequel to the original film.

ABOUT THE PREQUEL

The way the previous movie bid its farewell, it was kinda obvious that a sequel will be coming after this. After all, we all wanna see the Bunny Cop and the Cunning Fox teaming up again right? Their chemistry made it possible to get everything they ever wished for. Together they achieved their dreams. Though after a certain point in the movie they grew suspicious of each other, at the end of the day, their bonding made their friendship win, overall the odds between them helped them to move forward side by side.

With the success of Disney+ during the pandemic, it’s fair to wonder whether a streaming release would come alongside a theatrical release of “Zootopia 2.” With their latest release, “Luca,” Disney chose to forgo a theatrical release and went straight to exclusively streaming on their platform. But with the built-in success of the first movie and a guaranteed audience of eager fans, “Zootopia” may fare differently.

Zootopia gathered tremendous support from all over the world and after winning everybody’s heart it can be proudly added to the hall of fame of Disney studios. Fans are all excited to hear that the director is up for another story of bunny and fox. what we don’t know is that the wishlist of Disney studios is kinda occupied right now but as per the fans’ expectations it’s doing its best to make the dream come true with this Zootopia 2 project.

ANTICIPATED PLOT FOR ZOOTOPIA 2

Because “Zootopia” didn’t end on a cliffhanger, the possibilities for a sequel are endless. Goodwin and Bateman have both expressed their wishes for the sequel, with Goodwin telling CinemaBlend that she’d “like to see Nick have to be the one to convince Judy that the world is worth fighting for.”

Bateman, on the other hand, said he’d like to see, “The two of us, kicking ass out there. Cleaning up the streets. We’re a couple of new cops out there. So, bad guys, be warned.” Building upon the first movie’s themes of diversity, racial profiling, and acceptance, it will be interesting to see how the sequel navigates portraying Judy and Nick’s policing in a positive light without overstepping the political and social strides that have been made since 2016.

Most likely, Judy and Nick would still be playing the central parts of Zootopia 2. What attracted the audiences the most was the perfectly proportioned human-like appeal of the animated characters; they could make the viewers cry with every little detail being portrayed. The personification part was done flawlessly. In the sequel, we are likely to see more of Judy-Nick’s friendship chemistry as they deal with challenges.
