Bryan Cranston shook us with his performance in his crime-led drama, Your Honor, which was expected to air for a single season only. The American crime drama is adapted from the Israeli TV series Kvodo and witnessed its premiere on December 6, 2020, on the Showtime platform. Bryan’s character, Michael Desiato is a respected judge from New Orleans. His life takes a tragic turn when he ends up in a situation where his son Adam is involved in a hit-and-run accident. The most shocking part? The victim of this case is the son Jimmy Baxter, played by Michael Stuhlbarg, who is a much-feared crime mafia in the state. His wife Gina goes out on a blood hunt following the tragedy of her son.

At every step, Michael has to protect his son, Adam with everything he can and also protect his ethics as a judge and decide whom he has to support, a hit and run case accused or a mafia son who is the victim in this case. His son keeps getting closer to Baxter’s family as he starts dating Jimmy‘s daughter, Fia, and keeps falling prey to the crime mafia and faces the threats he possesses from him. Killing a crime boss’s son and dating his daughter, Adam has some serious guts within him.
During a party, a boy pulls a gun on Jimmy who thinks he is responsible for his brother’s death in prison unfortunately, this crossfire catches Adam and he appears to be dead just as Michael enters this event. Adam had faced several gunshots, some even to his neck, and Your Honor Season 2 need to revive Adam by any miracle to continue the story as he is the one who has initiated it.

Paramount Global Distribution has distributed the show with Showtime being the original network. For the second season, Moffat is replaced by David Manson as the showrunner along with Joey Hartstone, who was also the writer in Season 1.

The plot of Your Honor Season 2 is quite blurred as of now because season one witnessed the end of Adam’s and after facing so many serious wounds, only God and some miracle by the writers can revive Adam for this season. Bryan and Adam have to continue the storyline because Adam was the main reason behind the season one storyline where Michael’s involvement with the mafia boss, Jimmy Baxter started because of Adams’s hit-and-run case with Jimmy’s son. We can expect the downfall of Michael both in public and in his private life.
Michael had manipulated so many rules to seek a way in saving his son and has even collaborated with Jimmy, the crime boss to protect his son in season one. We can expect Michael’s career to get completely spoiled and him to leave his position as a judge. Then it can turn into Michael vs Jimmy where Michael is going to seek revenge from the mafia because of whom his life has been ruined and devasted. When is Your Honor Returning with Season 2? Season 2 – THE END!
The show premiered in 2020 and was presented as a mini-series for one season only. But the show received huge success with 6.6 million weekly viewers. This encouraged Showtime to renew it for a 10-episode season two in August 2021. A few days back. the show’s lead, Bryan declared it to be the last season of this show. According to Bryan Cranston, he was told by Showtime that Your Honor has received higher ratings than any other series they have ever had on their platform.
Showtime is yet to publicly announce the cancellation of the show and also details about the release of Your Honor Season 2. The season is expected to release this summer and perhaps can have an August 2022 release. Newsweek has contacted the Showtime network to comment about the show.
