Yona of the Dawn Craze by the Catchy Story of Princess Yona
Viewers may always see a prince thrown out of his Kingdom and then thriving back to get back the throne. But what if we replace this Prince with a Princess in lead? This is what amuses about Yona of the Dawn.
Set in medieval times, the story portrays the Kingdom of Kouka and its beautiful red-haired Princess, Yona who has grown up along with her beloved cousin Su-won in a pampered environment. She is the only child of King II and Hiryuu Castle is the home of this royal family. King II has a peace-loving personality as he hates weapons and violence but this is also the reason behind his people thinking of him as a weak and cowardly king. Not only that, but the poor king also turns out to be a victim of assassination by his own brother’s son, Su-won.
Yona who had a massive crush on Su-won since her childhood witnesses her father’s death right in front of her eyes by her childhood love. Yona decides to leave the castle and kingdom, accompanied by the Thunder Beast, Hak who is considered the most proficient in combat and speed. As soon as she escapes the castle, the news of the King’s death reaches his subjects and Su-won declares himself the King of Kouka. But he has no plans to stop. Meanwhile, Hak manages to take Yona out of the kingdom but the duo has to find a way to survive in the wild.
The delicate life Yona has had until now was not helping her to survive the critical conditions. But she manages to mold herself to the situation with the help of Hak and his tribe members. Now she has to seek help from the four mythical dragons of the legends and fight her way back to the throne after defeating her cousin, Su-won. Will she be able to clear all the darkness and restore the dignity of her Kingdom? Will she survive?

The highly acclaimed writer, Shinichi Inotsume has rewritten the anime version of the story whereas the direction is done by Kazuhiro Yoneda. Pierrot Studio has created this series which is very popular for giving us anime series like Naruto and Tokyo Ghoul. Licensed by Funimation, the show has received beautiful music given by Kunihiko Ryo. As of now, the anime series has a season available with 24 episodes along with 3 OVAs that depict a further storyline in the actual plot.

How Will Yona of the Dawn Season 2 Continue the Story?
As an anime adaptation of the original manga series, Yona of the Dawn Season 2 is expected to follow the thrilling story mentioned in the manga book series. Season one covered the first eight volumes of the manga while the OVA showed a much further storyline, covering Volume 18. We have some additional chapters in the manga books which Yona of the Dawn Season 2 is expected to start with along with Volume 9 where Yona and the dragons will be ready for the battle against Su-won and his allies in a mission to get back her kingdom.
The manga version clearly shows that it’s not going to be a cup of cake for Yona’s side to defeat Su-won and his forces, where it is mentioned how Yona and her friends have to deal with taxes, bandits, a Fire festival, and other important issues while on other hand, Su-won’s side is making preparations for war.
