What Do the Reports Say?
The new reports from the website The Illuminerdi have claimed that the hopes of the fans won’t go in vain. The website claims that the star from Narcos: Mexico, Tenoch Huerta, who has become a part of the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever crew back in November of 2020, will be recurring the role of the Ruler of Atlantis, Namor the Sub-Mariner. On top of that, the website reports further that another two important characters from Atlantis will be introduced in the movie. Namora, who is the cousin of Namor and Attuma, the warlord and as well as the biggest enemy of his, whose actions often cause conflict between the Atlantis and the world above the sea.
The rights of the film for Namor the Sub-Mariner have caused a lot of problems for Marvel Studios as the right was sold out to the studio Universal a long time ago (in the 90s). Now that Universal Studios has the distribution rights of the character in its possession, Marvel hasn’t got any chance to push forward with this character. But not having the rights to make a solo venture doesn’t mean that Marvel cannot represent the character as the antagonist of their movies which also stars various other characters as its heroes. For example, Universal also has the rights of Hulk under its possession. But that didn’t resist Marvel from involving hulk in their movies. So, we can always expect the rumor to be true and publicly confirmed by Marvel.
