What If…? Season 2 Release Date in 2023? Confirmed Cast and Characters

What If…? Season 2 is an upcoming animated series of Marvel after its first season which premiered in 2021. Fans have loved to watch the animated series What If…? and the second season of the series is going to come in 2023. However, it is not yet confirmed, what is the exact release date of the series. The second season is going to be more exciting as more new characters are coming into the animated series. However, much cast is not confirmed, but eleven cast members are confirmed who are going to give voice to their respective characters. Here is the list of the confirmed cast members for the What If…? Jeffrey Wright as The Watcher

After doing the leading role in the first season of What If…? he is coming back with more new multiversal stories. His role is to serve as the narrator and a guide for the whole story. He also came into action in the second last episode of What If…? as he gets into a fight with Infinity Ultron. In season 2 fans are expecting many new stories and many new adventures with him, and the excitement level of fans is very high.

Hayley Atwell as Captain Carter

Hayley Atwell is one of the members of the confirmed cast of What If…? as she played the role of Peggy Carter and she becomes Captain Carter. She is one of the leading members of Guardians of the Multiverse. Her story is quite matched with the story of Steve Rogers a.k.a Captain America, but the role is reversed. In the post-credit scene, we saw, that she has found the HYDRA Stomper and a person is inside there and that person is alive. And her story will continue from here only. Fans are excited to see her in action on Season 2 with her Sheild.

Lake Bell as Natasha Romanoff a.k.a Black Widow

We are very familiar with Scarlett Johansson who played the role of Black Widow a.k.a Natasha Romanoff. But, in the What If…? series we didn’t get to hear her voice as Lake Bell replaces her in the series. Her voice was loved by the fans and she is going to continue as well in the Season 2 of What If…?

Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda a.k.a Scarlet Witch

Nowadays, Scarlet Witch become one of the greatest characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Whether in live-action or in animated. We have seen Wanda in What If…? Season one, but we have seen her in the zombified version. In the next season, it is confirmed that Elizabeth Olsen is going to voice her character.

Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff

Rachel Weisz has joined the MCU in 2021 in the movie Black Widow as she played the role of Melina Vostokoff who is a mother figure to Natasha Romanoff and also a lead scientist in the Red Room. Last year, it was confirmed by the production designer Paul Lasaine that in season 2 there will be a Black Widow-inspired episode. In that episode, Melina would be doing her animated debut as she is very important to Natasha. Now, it is confirmed that Rachel Weisz will be doing the voice of Melina Vostokoff in What If…? Season 2.

Cynthia McWilliams as Gamora

Gamora’s appearance in What If…? Season 1 was very confusing to fans as they don’t know why she became a member of Guardians of The Multiverse as we didn’t see her in any single episode of What If…? Season. It was later explained that there was a plan for a Gamora episode but they didn’t do it and they promised that the episode of Gamora will be there in What If…? Season 2.

Taika Waititi as Korg

Taika Waititi is one of the great directors. He has directed the movie Thor: Ragnarok and Thor: Love and Thunder. He played a very vital role in Marvel Cinematic Universe as he plays the role of Korg. And in the What If…? In season 2 it is confirmed that Taika Waititi is going to give his voice to Korg. Fans are excited to see this character in What If…? Season 2.

Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster

Jeff Goldblum has reprised his role as Grandmaster in Thor: Ragnarok. Then his role was seen in the 7th episode of What If…? Season one. However, the role was very short as he becomes the DJ in Vegas during Thor’s celebration on Earth. It is not yet confirmed will the role of Grandmaster will be big in Season 2. But, it is confirmed that Jeff Goldblum is ready to give voice to Grandmaster in What If…? Season 2.

Cate Blanchett as Hela

Now, the Goddess of Death herself is coming in What If…? Season 2 as in season one of What If…? we have seen the helmet of Hela and it was with Collector in the second episode of season one. Now, she is coming and her voice will be given by none other than Cate Blanchett herself who played the role of Hela in Thor: Ragnarok.

Josh Keaton as Steve Rogers

After Chris Evans, Josh Keaton has taken up the role of Steve Rogers, at least in the animated series What If…? as he is doing his voice in What If…? Season 1 and he will be doing the voice of Steve Rogers in What if…? Season 2. However, in the first episode of the first season of the show, we get to Steve Rogers, not as Captain America but he wears the suit of Hydra Stomper Armor. He also reprised his role in the later two episodes of What If…? Season one. Now, it will be nice how many roles will Steve Rogers have in What If…? Season 2.

Mick Wingert as Iron Man

Mick Wingert is one of the greatest voice actors and he has taken the challenge to give his voice to the character which has a very huge fan base that character is Tony Stark a.k.a Iron Man. Now, Mick Wingert is confirmed to give his voice to the character Toby Stark. Fans have witnessed many episodes of Tony Stark in What If…? Season one and they are hoping that in this season we will see him in a very large role.
