Gord Lewis, the guitarist and one of the original members of Teenage Head, a famous Canadian punk rock band, has died. He was 65.

Jonathan Lewis, Lewis's 41-year-old son, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder, according to police in Hamilton, Ontario.

The Hamilton Spectator reports that the police think they know who the victim is and have told the Lewis family.

Police believe this is a unique event and are not seeking further suspects. The matter remains open and an autopsy will be performed.

The communications ranged from a complaint that Gord needed medical attention to comments that he was dead.

The call prompted police to search Gord's flat, where his body was found, though authorities think the murder happened days before.

Gord started Teenage Head in 1975 with Frankie Venom, who sang and played drums, and Dave Desroches, who sang.
