Tiger King season 1 followed the life of “Tiger King” Joe Exotic – American conservator, collector, and breeder of big cats, particularly tigers. His real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage. This docuseries goes into detail about the business of breeding and conservation of exotic animals and Joe Exotic’s feud with nemesis Carole Baskin.

Who Is Carole Baskin?
Carole Baskin, described as the “Mother Theresa of Cats”, is the owner and CEO of the Big Cat Sanctuary in Tampa, Florida. She was involved in a very long and bitter feud with Joe Exotic which resulted in her attempted murder. She had previously attempted to shut Joe’s park down.
Carole Baskin, along with her husband, now works for PETA to raise awareness about animal rights.
She also has her own wildlife sanctuary where she preserves wildlife and gives exotic animals a safe space to breed and live.

Tiger King Season 2 Plot
Season 1 of Tiger King followed the story of Joe Exotic’s trial for apparently ordering and paying a hitman to murder his rival Carole Baskin. Now that that is dealt with and Joe Exotic is in jail, we wonder what season 2 will be about.
There is no official word on the plot for Tiger King season 2 just yet, but it will pick up where Tiger King season 1 left off.
Is Tiger King Real Or Staged?
Tiger King is based on Joe Exotic’s real-life so the story is definitely real, however, the details could be dramatized for effect in the series. The makers claim it is real.
What we know for sure is that Joe Exotic is in jail for real and is currently awaiting a re-sentencing as his lawyer claimed that a sentence of 22 years is too long a time.
This is under consideration currently as Joe waits for the hearing in jail.
Despite multiple trials, the convictions against him still stand.

Will Carole Baskin Return In Season 2?
As of now, the answer is no. She said she had no intention to return for season 2 but with Netflix, you can never tell what to expect!

Jeff Lowe, Tim Stark, Allen Glover, and James Garretson will return for another season.
Joe Exotic, will of course feature, although from behind bars.
