Gone are the days when “Re: Zero” and “Kono Suba” entered a different world in their original body. Isekai has gone intense now and you will find the protagonist turning into slimes, spiders, or inhuman in the new world. Don’t stay behind and join the fandom of “The Saga of Tanya The Evil”. In this article, we shall discuss Tanya the Evil Season 2.
Those who know about this thrilling adventure anime see how this story’s protagonist reincarnates into a little girl’s body in a completely opposite version of WWI Imperial Germany. The show debuted in 2017 with its first season and people instantly developed a craze for Tanya’s appearance and cultural difference in this world. However, the showrunners are testing the emotions of fans as since the release of The Saga of Tanya The Evil anime movie, there have been no updates for the second installment of its anime series.
Thankfully, an announcement video came last year claiming The Saga of Tanya The Evil Season 2 is undergoing rapid production. Here’s everything we know so far about The Saga of Tanya The Evil Season 2.
The Story of Tanya as a ‘Ruthless Soldier’ in Season 1
The story is based in modern-era Tokyo city in 2013 where an unnamed atheist Japanese salaryman is about to be murdered by a subordinate who is fired by him due to poor performance at work. He is confronted by an entity at that moment that claims itself to be God and criticizes the salaryman for not having ‘faith’. He, on other hand, leaves no area to criticize back with his thoughts of God, calling Him ‘Being X’.
The entity can’t consume more insults and decides to reincarnate him into a world where the difficult circumstances will make him beg for help from Being X. The salaryman is reborn as Tanya Degurechaff, an orphaned girl in an alternate WWI Imperial Germany. The deal with Being X is that if Tanya dies an unnatural death or doesn’t have faith in it by the end, her soul will be thrown out of the cycle of reincarnation and doomed to hell for her countless sins in the past.
To escape this fate, Tanya joins the Empire’s Mage Corps and fights in the war in order to reach a higher level and stay out of the battlefield. But she chooses the path of a ruthless soldier for whom, career and efficiency matter more than anything including those beneath her.
The Team That Gave Their Best on this Project

Fans can also watch the series on Netflix.

When Will The Saga of Tanya The Evil Season 2 Release?
We literally have no idea what the showrunners are thinking as the first season of The Saga of Tanya the Evil was released way back in 2017. Think of it! 5 years but still fans are waiting to get the second season. Earlier fans were doubting if they will be able to see this dark isekai back o their screen with new episodes or not as the show’s team had gone silent after releasing a movie to this series in 2019.
As of August 2022, fans already know that an announcement teaser for The Saga of Tanya The Evil Season 2 had been released last year on June 19 with a voiceover that mentioned how the team is working to their fullest on the second installment. But over a year and no news about the production is released, and we don’t even know if the production is complete. An anime series generally takes less time than this to produce and release a season but we are still waiting to get an official release date.
Kadokawa is still teasing fans for the release date announcement of The Saga of Tanya The Evil Season 2 but we think that it can release by the end of this year as supposedly, the series has finished production and is waiting for the right time to launch. The Fall of 2022 can witness Tanya and her story back on screens.
