Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City Trailer Teases Zombie Dogs; Release Date

The official Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City teaser has emerged, revealing the zombie dogs in the survival horror film. The horror film would be a recreation of the Constantin Films-produced series, which is based on Capcom’s famed computer games of the same name. The plot revolves around a bunch of survivors who journey to Raccoon City in order to learn the true situation about a fatal virus that had been spread on the world and its links to the nefarious Umbrella Corporation.

One of the trailer’s lines says, ‘fear is contagious,’ in light of what the world is now dealing with, as we witness a swarm of deadly monsters making life difficult for the protagonists. There appear to be some action-packed graphics, such as bomb blasts, gunfights, and helicopter pursuit sequences, among other things.

The film is directed by Johannes Roberts, who also wrote the screenplay after taking over for Mortal Kombat’s Greg Russo. The movie’s production lasted from October to December 2020, and after many COVID-19-related disruptions, the picture is expected to enter cinemas this November.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City was initially intended to be released on September 3, but the schedule was pushed back 2 months to November 24, in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. Director Johannes Roberts has promised fans that the revival would stay true to the original.

There seems to be a noticeable difference between this film and the last one, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, which was released in 2016 since the latest movie tries to reinvent the genre from the start. There’s enough to absorb in the video, with revelations of new people, places, timeframes, and more.

Redfield clearly stars the program, since the episode begins with Claire Redfield riding into Raccoon City wearing her famous red jacket. Claire and her brother Chris were kept separated in the first Resident Evil and Resident Evil 2 games, but this teaser strongly indicates they’ll ultimately be working together to reveal Umbrella. While there isn’t much for those hoping again for classic Claire and Leon S. Kennedy combination, it’s lightly alluded to when Claire hands him an RPD bulletproof jacket and faces off against the deadly Licker monster.

Several additional recognized characters emerge all through the film, some more easily identified than others. Lisa Trevor, who appeared in Resident Evil as a terrible Umbrella Corporation experiment, makes a brief cameo wearing a meaty face mask, however, it is unclear whether she is an ally or enemy inside the movie. Ben Bertolucci, a Resident Evil 2 character, also appeared in a video requesting Claire for assistance. Bertolucci plays an investigative journalist that Leon discovers imprisoned, however in the teaser he seems like a trigger for Claire’s comeback to Raccoon City.

Albert Wesker, head of the S.T.A.R.S. police special forces unit, is among the most well-known figures. Wesker and his crew are split at the beginning of Resident Evil, and it is later discovered that he is working against them. Wesker splits off in the trailer, implying that he would betray the squad again as he did in the original game. Dr. William Birkin, who appears briefly in the trailer, works for Umbrella as well as Wesker. In Resident Evil 2, Birkin is one of Umbrella Corporation’s leading scientists who has just gone against them and becomes a raging mutant after being infected with the G-Virus.
