Pixel 5a 5G has been canceled, but Google denies the claim!

Google has officially announced Pixel 5a 5G, a new Pixel phone. But, as per the recent report, Google has canceled the launch of Pixel 5a due to a chip shortage. Android Central cited two independent sources claiming the cancellation. A YouTuber has claimed that there is a chip shortage because of which it has been canceled.

However, Google has denied the report and said the launch is not canceled. Pixel 5a exists and will be launched later this year. The information discussed the Pixel 5a, but Google has now step ahead and confirmed the 5G version of it dubbed the Pixel 5a 5G. Code pointing to the Pixel 5a has been seen in the Android Open Source Project as early July 2020. The Pixel 5a 5G is expected to be similar in size to the Pixel 4A 5G with a headphone jack, dual rear cameras, a 6.2-inch FHD+ display.

Google has not confirmed the date of launch as of now. But they revealed that it will be launched in the limited market that is only in U.S. and Japan. If rumors are to be believed, then the launch date would be somewhere in August. Nothing can be confirmed as yet till official announcements are made. Last year Google launched the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G in selected regions, but it has been further crisped.

Many reports suggest that Google would announce the details related to the upcoming flagship Pixel at I/O 2021 developer conference, which will happen from May 18 till May 20. Google is rumored to be creating a higher-end flagship Pixel Phone later this year, Pixel 6, and this phone will begin to use more Google-designed chips.
