As Crunchyroll has said, The forbidden love blossoms again… The Japanese light novel series Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World is returning back soon with a brand new season. The series debuted in May 2017 and got a manga adaptation in May 2018. To date, 7 volumes of the manga have been released. The series came into the limelight after it was officially announced for an anime adaptation. In this article, we shall discuss Our Last Crusade Season 2.
The Heavenly Empire is technologically advanced whereas the Nebulis Sovereignty is known as the country of powerful magic users. Both these nations have been engaged for years in an apparently endless war. At present, Iska, a master swordsman from the Empire, and Aliceliese, the “Ice Calamity Witch” from Nebulis’ ruling family are determined to kill each other on the battlefield but desire to bring peace. They decide to settle for each other first and then bring closure to this war.
Season 1 was released in October 2020 and was renewed in October 2021 for Our Last Crusade Season 2. But the team is yet to give an official release date for the upcoming season. We have gathered everything available on the Internet about Our Last Crusade Season 2 in this article.

The talented knight Iska is sent to prison after he frees an imprisoned witch but is set free after a year to hunt down Aliceliese, the “Ice Calamity Witch”. But Iska and Aliceliese agree to find a way to end this war and yearn for a crusade to turn the world into one peaceful land. Fate ties them together in a closer bond which can not just be a mere coincidence.
The Returning Team & Cast of Our Last Crusade
Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World is a Japanese light novel series written by Kei Sazane and illustrated by Ao Nekonabe. Since May 2017, 13 volumes and two short story collections have been published by Fujimi Shobo under the Fujimi Fantasia Bunko label of Kadokawa Corporation.
The anime adaptation is being directed by Shin Oonuma and Mirai Minato and Silver Link is working as the sole animation studio on this project. AT-X, Tokyo MX, ABC, TVA, and BS11 are the original networks and Crunchyroll has licensed the series outside Asia. The show debuted in October 2020 with 12 episodes and is soon returning with Our Last Crusade Season 2. The following cast has been confirmed to return in the upcoming season:

Has the Release Date Been Finalized for Our Last Crusade Season 2?
Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World Season 2 release date is set in 2023. Earlier, there were rumors suggesting that Our Last Crusade will release in the Fall of 2022 but soon Crunchyroll came forward to respond to these speculations. The company clarified that they have licensed the second season of Our Last Crusade and it is going to release on the platform in 2023.
Though the showrunners and its official networks are yet to reveal the official release date of Our Last Crusade Season 2, we can expect the season to release before mid-2023. As the first season gave us 12 episodes full of fantasy romance, the same is expected with Our Last Crusade Season 2. We hope that Silver Link provides us with more details and insights into this upcoming season along with a confirmation on its release date.
Our Last Crusade Season 2 Plot Expectations!
Our Last Crusade is expected to follow the events mentioned in Volume 5 of the original light novel version. We will see the continuation of Sisbell and her attempts in detecting the conspiracy against the Nebulis Sovereignty. We will be witnessing the action, romance, and assassination attempts in this upcoming season.
The show makers are yet to give an official synopsis of the show and we are unclear how much of the storyline will be covered in Our Last Crusade Season 2. It appears that the anime story is moving slowly to create plenty of seasons with the available volumes. It may cover 4-5 volumes of the light novel series in perhaps, 12 episodes in this new season.
