Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 1 Finale Gave us Hope for Season 2
Obi-Wan Kenobi marked the conclusion of its first season on the 22nd of June when we saw Jedi facing Darth Vader which was super impressive than Revenge of the Sith. Both of them were left alive at the end of this confrontation and this can help to add Obi-Wan’s story that will fill the gap between this Disney+ series and A New Hope.
Jedi finally connects with the Force ghost of his mentor. Something important is in the way indicated by the cameo of Qui-Gon Jinn, played by Liam Neeson. We can see this aftermath in the second outing and the chances for Obi Wan Kenobi Season 2 have been raised high.

Kathleen Kennedy Leaves the Renewal Chances on Fans!
One of the Executive producers of the series, Kathleen Kennedy has remarked that the decision of Obi-Wan Kenobi to return with a second season depends on the fan’s reaction. She mentioned how they started on the project as a limited series but Lucasfilm is looking forward to hearing from the fans to make the final decision. If fans emerge out on social media and are willing to get more episodes, the team will look into it for consideration, after all, it is all about what the fans speak.
Once the show retrieves, we will be seeing Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen continuing to present the story of their characters and taking away our breaths with their outstanding performances. McGregor has even admitted in an interview, “I really hope we do another”. Obi-Wan Season 1 is currently available to watch on Disney+ on a subscription basis.
When can We Expect Obi Wan Kenobi Season 2?
What can be better than a 7.1/10 IMDb rating with 81% rotten tomatoes? Obi Wan Kenobi Season 2 needs to happen! If the showrunners consider the highly positive response of fans in the upcoming weeks and reveal the show’s renewal for a second season, we can expect the project to go on floors again by October of this year. As the limited series gave us only six episodes in its first season, we can expect the series to complete production and have a mid-2023 release.
We guess this time, the team of Obi-Wan Kenobi will bring more than 6 episodes to satisfy the cravings of its viewers. Hence, the series can bring much more episodes and gradually will take a considerable amount of time to return with season 2. We can make a hard assumption of Obi Wan Kenobi Season 2 releasing by the end of 2023 or in early 2024.
We are looking forward to the team of Obi-Wan Kenobi giving us the positive news of the series’ renewal as soon as possible because we can’t wait much for the Star Wars story to return. Fans can look forward to ‘Would Be All for’ a Darth Vader Spinoff Series which can have links to this storyline.
