Plot Briefing of Narcos Mexico and the possibility of Narcos Mexico Season 4
The show Narcos: Mexico explores and follows the origins of the modern drug war by focusing on its emergence and roots. The war began at a time when the Mexican trafficking world was very much prominent and there was a disintegrated and disorganized confederation of liberated growers and dealers.
The show witnessed the growth and rise of the Guadalajara Cartel in the 1980s as Felix Gallardo takes over the helm, integrating and unifying the traffickers for the purpose of building a strong empire. The series also shows a DEA agent, Kiki Camarena, who shifts with his family, wife, and young son from California City to Guadalajara for taking on a new designation. Kiki is an ambitious, resourceful, and intelligent officer and is very dedicated to his work.
The military brutally raids the marijuana crop region which leads to the destruction of most of the region. However, Gallardo persuades the local trafficking head named Pedro Aviles Perez for sending Rafael “Rafa” Caro Quintero and Ernesto “Don Neto” Fonseca Carrillo to Guadalajara so that they could negotiate with the local Naranjo brothers for permitting the Sinaloans to shift there.
And as predicted, the brothers refuse but Felix has a backup plan for convincing them by embarking on a brutal takeover. He allied his forces with the Direccion Federal de Seguridad (DFS) Commander, Juan Jose Esparragoza Moreno also known as El Azul. El Azul brings with him his supervisor, Salvador Osuna Nava, who is the director general of the DFS. The Naranjo brothers and Pedro are eventually killed, which leads to the establishment of Felix’s territory organization as the primary marijuana trafficker of the region.
Meanwhile, Kiki shortly realizes that his task is going to be more challenging than he ever could have thought and imagined. As Kiki accumulates the intelligence team on Felix and engages and entwines more in his mission, a very tragic and dangerous chain of incidents starts to unfold, which affects the drug trade and the battle against the trade for the coming years.

Has Narcos Mexico Season 4 been renewed?
Back when Narcos Season 3 was released, it was not declared or clarified if it will be the last season of the series. Netflix didn’t provide any hints that Season 3 is going to be the last season of the series. But later, in September of 2021, it was announced officially that the third season was the finale of the series.
Although, this news was not a surprise to most of those who are true fans of Narcos. This is because Narcos has three seasons. So it was kind of obvious that the sister series of Narcos will also have the same number of seasons. Maybe in the future, the creators change their minds and there might come a new update about Narcos Mexico Season 4. But till then, we have to console ourselves that another season is not coming.
Narcos Mexico Ending
The ending of the Season 3 showed Arnado dying. We also witnessed Ramon Arellano Felix, who is one of the heads of the Tijuana Cartel, attempting to kill the leader of the Sinaloa Cartel. But prior to that, he was killed by the troupes of the Sinaloa Cartel. So that’s how the show ended and we will not be having a Narcos Mexico Season 4.
