We have some good news. Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 is finally going to return in late 2022. With the end of the second season, several questions were raised as to how the Franchise would be gripping with the final two major events from ONE’s original webcomic series.
Crunchyroll announced that they are all set to be streaming the renewing season with its launch in Japan. It seemed at first that the anime would be returning for both a third season as well as a feature film. But later it was confirmed that the plans are only to bring the series back totally for Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 later this Fall season.
The plotline of Mob Psycho 100
The anime series focuses on an 8th-grade student Kageyama Shigeo, also known as “Mob” in the series who possesses psychic abilities. He has the potential to bend spoons and lift objects by looking at them and controlling them with his mind from a very young age.
But gradually, he begins to withhold from using his abilities in public and on the public because he keeps getting negative attention from them. Ultimately, he wants to become friends with a girl, Tsubomi, from his class.
Mob is fully determined to live a normal life and attempts to suppress his ESP all the time. But when his emotions get hiked to a level of 100%, he ends up doing something terrible. The series shows his journey as he is surrounded by false espers, mysterious organizations, and evil spirits.
Then, with the help of his psychic mentor (who possesses no psychic power), Mob continues to live his daily life and eventually realizes his purpose in life, even though, he often and constantly gets himself into trouble.
When and where is the upcoming Season 3 releasing?
The creators, show makers, or directors have not yet announced an official release date for the release of the series. But we know for sure that the series would be released later this year, in the late Fall of October 2022.
The series has been offered both a subbed and dubbed release and Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 will be available in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS with Crunchyroll.
This contemplates that the fall season which is the October of 2022 has a packed schedule of shows with the major return of this Anime show.
How many more seasons are expected to release for Mob Psycho 100?
The first season of Mob Psycho 100 contained 12 episodes and premiered in July 2016. The series has collected a massive fan base since then only, the fans who can’t wait for more seasons of Mob Psycho 100.
But whether or not, more than 3 seasons of the series would be coming depends totally on the source material and the profit made by each consecutive season.
The source material for Mob Psycho 100 is the Mob Psycho 100 Manga. As of December 2021, 16 volumes of Mob Psycho 100 have been released. Also, there is a spin-off Manga series which is titled ‘Reigen’. The manga of Mob Psycho 100 has ended with the 16th volume.
Since the first two seasons contained volumes 1 to 12 of the Manga, Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 will be containing the 13th to 16th volume and the series might be ended with Season 3 because the source material has now ended. So, fans just keep waiting for Mob Psycho 100 Season 3.
