The Massive Chinese MNC – Xiaomi
Xiaomi Corporation is a Chinese Computer electronic & hardware MNC founded in April 2010 and since then, has conquered the electronic market with its unbelievable and rapid success. In mid-2018, Xiaomi was the 4th biggest smartphone manufacturer in China & India. Founded by Lei Jun and headquartered in Beijing, China, it has extended its wide empire worldwide. It also has different subsidiaries like POCO, Youpin & Sunmi which are also successful in their fields. In 2019, Xiaomi also started selling simple consumer goods to make their business even more profitable and to gain more popularity through different fields, they sold items such as bags, umbrellas, caps & even screwdrivers.
The Software Skin – MIUI
MIUI is a software skin created by the Chinese electronic brand, Xiaomi itself for Android users. Although MIUI is an android software skin, it resembles the Apple IOS style more than android itself. Icons arranged in the home panel rather than an application tray, the settings app’s design, etc. MIUI is continuously trying to switch to a more aesthetic and colorful pattern with more resemblance to Android as the version updates. Recently Indian government banned 267 Chinese apps that resulted in the software’s redesigning.
