Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have constantly been in the line of fire for a long time now. Ever since their marriage in 2018, they have been targeted for various reasons. Meghan especially has had to bear the brunt of this for 3 years now.
Things seemed okay for some time so it came as a shock when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their exit from the royal family earlier this year. They quit the royal family and all their royal duties. They also left the UK to settle down in California, USA, with their son Archie. They were hated on and accused of shirking responsibilities but what was actually going on behind the scenes was unknown to the public until very recently.

Meghan Markle’s Relationship With The Royal Family
Meghan Markle used to get into trouble for breaking royal family protocol quite often. She wasn’t one to bend to the norms. She did and stood for what she felt was right. She was targeted for various things like her dressing sense and public statements but the most prominent issue people seemed to have with her was that of her race. She is bi-racial- her father is white and her mother is black.
Meghan Markle did not share the best relationship with the royal family, especially with the queen. Even before their official exit, Meghan had apparently already put some distance between herself and the royals.
When Prince Harry defended Meghan Markle publicly, the royals were hurt by his statements against them and felt like he was putting his ego before the best interests of the monarchy.
When Did Things Take A Turn For The Worse Between Them?
Post the exit, Harry and Meghan lost their titles as Duke and Duchess of Sussex. They also lost their share of the inheritance.
The couple then did various interviews and came on various radio and TV talk shows to talk about their relationship with the royal family and why it had turned bitter. Meghan was very open in sharing how the royal family treated and belittled her time and time again.
Meghan Markle claimed that all of this had really affected her health and pushed her to the brink of suicide and therefore it had to end, something had to be done.
This prompted them to take the decision to separate themselves from the family.
Prince Harry’s Memoir
Earlier this year, it was announced that former Duke of Sussex Prince Harry was writing a memoir to be published by Penguin House. It is set to release sometime in 2022.
This will be based on the real-life of Prince Harry. Royal family members aren’t very happy about this.
Some strong statements will be made in this book apparently. Prince Harry is going to expose all the details of his relationship with his father and says he hates Prince Charles.
Things aren’t looking great between them at the moment but we hope they can make amends soon.
