One of the surprises of the Moon Knight finale is May Calamawy who is playing the role of Layla El-Faouly as Scarlet Scarab and the avatar of Taweret. But we didn’t get the confirmation from Marvel what is her superheroine name. Now, Marvel officially confirmed that May Calamawy is the Scarlet Scarab.
Episode 6 of Moon Knight is full of wonder, we get to see the first look of Ammit, Jake Lockley in the post-credit scene of Moon Knight. Surprisingly we get to introduce another superheroine who is Layla El-Faouly as Scarlet Scarab. They fight together to stop Arthur Harrow and Ammit. In the finale episode of Moon Knight, it was not mentioned whether she is Scarlet Scarab or not. But now, Marvel has officially confirmed that May Calamawy’s Layla El-Faouly superheroine name is Scarlet Scarab. All episodes of Moon Knight are streaming on Disney+.

What did May Calamawy Say about her superhero role?
While season 2 of Moon Knight is not yet confirmed. May Calamawy who is playing the role of Layla El-Faouly has said in an interview that “she is open to bringing the character back again”. She also added, “Never say no to spin-off”. She also tells “I have fallen love with her and her fight. Layla has so many mysteries about her that I feel like she deserves to have them expanded upon”.

In Marvel comics, Scarlet Scarab is a hero. Scarlet Scarab a.k.a Abdul Faoul. In the Moon Knight Disney+ series the father of Layla El-Faouly. But in the Moon Knight series, we don’t know whether her father was also Scarlet Scarab or not but it is confirmed that Layla El-Faouly is now the Scarlet Scarab. In the comics Professor Abdul Faoul led a group of Sons of the Scarab, seeking an end to Britain’s control over Egypt in the 1940s. He has superhuman strength and durability.
