Looks like Netflix has a lot in store for us this spooky season! Among the long list of exciting, Halloween-y shows set to release in the last quarter of 2021, are Locke and Key season 2. Premiering this October, its release has been much awaited by fans of the show since the release of season 1 back in February 2020. The show is based on the American comic book series written by Joe Hill and illustrated by Gabriel Rodriguez. These comics were brought to life on screen by Carlton Cuse, Meredith Averill, and Aron Eli Coleite. Fans loved the supernatural aspect of Locke and Key and also found the storyline quite unique and new. It is the perfect blend of horror fiction, supernatural occurrences, magical realism, and everything you expect to have in a teen drama! The 2nd season is yet to air and fans are hoping to get Locke And Key Season 3 Already.

WHAT IS ‘LOCKE AND KEY’ ALL ABOUT?
Locke and Key follow the Locke family as they move into a house filled with reality-bending keys following the murder of their father Rendell Locke. What unfolds is shocking, especially for their mother Nina Locke as she refuses to believe her kids Tyler Locke, Kinsey Locke, and Bode Locke at first… until it happens to her too. All these events lead up to a thrilling and edge-of-the-seat climax and left fans with a lot of questions.
LET’S MEET THE LOCKE FAMILY
The Locke family consists of the late Rendell Locke, played by Bill Heck, his wife Nina Locke, played by Darby Stanchfield, the kids Tyler, Kinsey, and Bode Locke, played by Connor Jessup, Emilia Jones, and Jackson Robert Scott respectively, and their uncle Duncan Locke, played by Aaron Ashmore.
Other cast members include Felix Mallard, Griffin Gluck, Petrice Jones, Laysla de Oliveira, and more.
SEASON 2 TRAILER AND LAUNCH DATE
Season 2 of Locke and Key is set to premiere on October 22nd, 2021, and will have 10 episodes. The trailer, however, is out and looks fantastic! So good that the show has already been renewed for Locke And Key Season 3. Take a look-
Assuming Season 2 picks up where season 1 left off, most of the main cast members will be making a return. Aaron Ashmore and Hallea Jones have also been promoted as regulars for season 2.
Believe it or not, the Locke kids will have to deal with things far heavier than the death of their father (if that’s even possible) in season 2.
We also hope season 2 will have a little more about the origin story of the keys.

LOCKE AND KEY SEASON 3
In March 2020, Netflix announced that the series had been renewed for a second season which is slated to premiere on October 22, 2021. In December 2020, ahead of the second season premiere, the series was renewed for a third season as well. Netflix is well and truly spoiling us!
However, Locke And Key Season 3 does not have a launch date just yet. It is expected to come out once season 2 has been released, which will be very very soon.
Because of how far in advance it got renewed, there’s not much we know about Locke ANd Key Season 3 as of now. A teaser is expected soon along with the trailer coming out a month before the release.
Word has come in that the cast and crew have wrapped filming Locke and Key season 3, which is good news!
