Expectations from Kengan Ashura Season 3
Kengan Ashura, a Japanese manga series, has captured the hearts of many fans with its thrilling storyline and breathtaking action scenes. Fans have been eagerly waiting for season 3 of the anime to know what’s in store for them next. The second season ended with Ohma Tokita, the main character, winning his fight against Raian, and fans are now eager to see his journey to become the champion fighter continues.
There is still a long way to go before Ohma becomes the champion fighter, with the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final ahead of him. This means that there is plenty of room for the writers to adapt the manga and continue the story in season 3. Even if the anime gets to the end of the source material, there’s still a sequel, Kenguran Omega, that the writers can explore.
The sequel revolves around Koga Narushima, a hot-headed fighter who tries to make a name for himself in the Kengan matches two years after the events of Kengan Ashura. Fans may remember that Koga and Ohma had a street fight three years before Kengan Ashura, but eventually became friends. This shows that there’s still a lot to explore in this world and fans can expect to see more thrilling action and adventure in season 3 of Kengan Ashura.
News Until Now
The manga series, “Kengan Ashura,” was created by Yabako Sandrovich and illustrated by Daromeon. It was first published by Shogakukan in April 2012 and ran until August 2018, spanning 27 volumes and an extra chapter. The English translation was later licensed by Comikey.
In 2015, Ura Sunday conducted a vote to determine the next manga to be adapted into an anime, and “Kengan Ashura” emerged as the winner with a staggering 2.3 million votes out of 9 million. However, despite this announcement, no updates were released for some time, causing fans to wonder if the adaptation was still in the works. Eventually, in 2018, the staff and cast were confirmed, and the anime was finally released on Netflix in June 2019.
One common misconception among fans is the order of “Kengan Ashura.” While the 2019 anime adaptation is considered the first season by Netflix, its release in two parts – with a gap of three months between them – has led some fans to believe they are separate seasons. This is supported by My Anime List, which divides the series into three parts: “Kengan Ashura Part 1,” “Kengan Ashura Part 2,” and the upcoming “Kengan Ashura Season 2.”
It’s worth noting that Netflix’s approach to releasing anime in parts, rather than following the traditional Japanese TV schedule, can sometimes lead to confusion among fans. In order to prevent confusion, we will refer to it as the third season.
