Her testimony was widely covered by the media and sparked a lot of reactions from both sides of the political spectrum.
Some people have wondered if Cassidy Hutchinson is related to Asa Hutchinson, the Republican governor of Arkansas who has been critical of Trump and his role in the Jan. 6 attack. The two share a common last name, but is there any blood tie between them?

The contrast between them
Cassidy Hutchinson and Asa Hutchinson have very different views on Trump and his actions on Jan. 6. She also said that Trump lunged at the steering wheel of his presidential vehicle when he was told he could not go to the Capitol himself. She said she was appalled by Trump’s behavior and praised the courage of those who stood up to him.
Asa Hutchinson has also been vocal about his disapproval of Trump and his role in inciting the violence on Jan. 6. He has called for Trump to be held accountable for his actions and has supported the work of the Jan. 6 committee. He has also criticized Trump’s attempts to undermine the 2020 election results and his influence over the Republican Party. He has said that he will not support Trump if he runs for president again in 2024.
