Highschool DXD Season 5 Release Date

Highschool DXD Season 5 was expected to be released by the completion of the year 2021. However, it got postponed again, thanks to COVID, to be released in Early 2022. Now it might be released after a long wait time on 11 July 2022. Many were expecting it further later but now it is almost done that it will release in July only.

All four seasons of this series were released at a smooth and timely pace and that is why fans got so invested in the series. But as COVID-19 approached, High School DxD season 5 kept getting delayed and fans have been waiting eagerly since. But despite taking this long time, we can still contemplate that Highschool DXD Season 5 will also be a brief one and will not be elaborated or unnecessarily stretched more than needed.

The storyline of High School DxD so far

The story of Highschool DXD Season 5 will begin with a Promotion Test. Issei, Akeno, and Kiba are three young pupils who prepare for the test. This story will revolve around Issei Hyoudou, a student of the Kuoh Academy. The school was initially an all-girls’ school but is now also admitting males and has expanded to a co-education system school. Everyone including angles, devils, and creatures is starting to attend the school, which was a well-kept secret among the living residents. Issei is one of the regular students with very chilled behavior.

Then one random day, Yuma Amano approaches Issei and asks him out. Issei agrees and they go on a date. After the date ends, she asks Issei to sacrifice himself for her. A fallen angel, Raynare is revealed to be her. Yuma attempts to kill Issei but he is saved by Rias Gremory, who is a third-year student at the school.

He saves him with her magical card. Feeling it was all a dream Issei has seen, he wakes up the next morning. But he is attacked by another fallen angel. Rias has to reveal herself to be a demon and she tells Issei that she was murdered by Yuma and also that Rias only was the one who resurrected him.

One of the most essential elements in this plot of the High School DxD Season 5 is ‘The Hero Oppai Dragon Arc’. Starting in season 4, this arc complemented volumes 9 and 10 of the original book and these volumes were shown in season 4 of the series. The volumes 11 and 12 are most likely to be followed in season 5.

A New Plotline also might be there in Season 5

The primary protagonists of the series are the members of the Occult Research Club. It is made up of 10 devils, an angel, and a dragon. It rivals Rias Gremory’s Demons. The club is engaged in a number of diabolical tasks like forming human alliances, and participating in rating games and other school squabbles. At the completion of the second season, Azazel, the fallen angel was assigned as a consultant for the research club.
