Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya Coleman starrer new sci-fi thriller Dune is all set to hit theatres! Dune is the first part of a two-part movie adaptation of the book series of the same name by American sci-fi author Frank Herbert. His iconic series is rated as one of his best-selling novel series. The franchise consists of a series of highly futuristic, science fiction novels. The first book was released way back in the year 1965 and also won the Hugo Award alongside Roger Zealanzy’s “The Immortal”. In 1966, it won the inaugural Nebula Award for Best Novel.
WHAT IS DUNE ABOUT?
Set in the far future on a desert planet by the name of Arrakis (also known as Dune), It is a science fiction thriller directed by Dennis Villeneuve. The premise follows Paul Atreid, the heir of House Atreides as he is forced to travel to this unknown planet with his father, Duke Leto Atreides, to ensure their family stays safe. Arrakis is the only source of the most valuable substance to human life- melange. Melange, also known as “spice”, is a drug that has the ability to extend human life and provide superhuman thoughts and speed. However, the Duke has knowingly walked into a trap set up by his enemies and their lives are in grave danger.
The main pairing of Dune has created a lot of buzz! Photos of them from the Venice International Film Festival almost broke the internet. They are none other than fan favorites, Timothee Chalamet who plays Paul Atreid, and Zendaya Coleman who plays Chani, a native of Arrakis and Paul’s love interest.

The Movie will release in theatres all around the world on the 22nd of October, 2021. In India, a Hindi dubbed version will be releasing on 22nd as well. It was released early, on September 3rd, 2021 in Venice.
