A Story Recap Before Chapter 102
Yuko has arrived as a plot device to strengthen and mold the character of Mitaka and is expected to appear several times throughout Part 2. We witnessed how Mitaka’s Devil Hunter club group is prowling in their school for Devils. Yuko is introduced as a short-haired blonde girl but hasn’t mentioned her last name. She mentions her likes for Chainsaw Man which pulls another fan, Yoshida towards her.
Mitaka also introduces herself in the shyest way, wishing to be paired with Yoshida. When asked by Yuko about Chainsaw Man, Mitaka tells that her interest is similar to the next person. Three girls pass by Mitaka, disturbing her with the trauma of killing Bucky and earning the ire of her classmates. Mitaka is criticized by one of them for trying to find a boyfriend soon after killing Bucky. Yuko and Yoshida are confused about how to handle the situation where the classmates are laughing and Mitaka is revisiting that horrific experience.
Mitaka drops her weapon and runs towards her locker followed by Yuko who asks her what’s wrong. The locker opens and a pair of shoes covered in raw meat can be seen which was worn by Mitaka either when she killed Bucky or the night when she killed Justice Devil and Mr. Tanaka. Yuko knows it was not okay to have raw meat on shoes but Mitaka continues to call it a fine situation and walks away.

Chainsaw Man Chapter 101 officially aired for free on Viz Media and Manga Plus on Tuesday, August 2. The next chapter i.e. Chainsaw Man Chapter 102 was about to release on 9th August 2022 but now it has been delayed by a week and will arrive on 16th August 2022. Many famous mangas suffer plot leaks before their official release due to the availability of manga publications in the Japanese market but Chainsaw Man is only having an online release. Chainsaw Man Chapter 102 has a Decent yet Interesting Story to Tell
We saw Mitaka walking out of the school with no shoes on. She has to consolidate in her mind that everything is okay with her but things keep getting difficult with the flashing memories of her classmates in her memory. The War Devils manifest her to not walk shoeless and try to convince her of the fact that Bullying is quite common in society, either the Human or Devil. Mitaka yells out that SHE IS OKAY! but Yuko who has been following her knows nothing is fine with her stern look. She laughs and exclaims how going shoeless hurts.
Yuko offers one shoe to Mitaka to reduce the pain in one of her feet. The situation is still messy for Mitaka and she puts on the shoe before running. She now has a budding friendship and they pass crowds of people and a flower shop before finally reaching Yuko’s house. Yuko tries to persuade Mitaka into her house but she keeps denying it. The former then asks her to have the other shoe too and walk back home without hurting her feet.
Mitaka denies it but is convinced by Yuko to accept the offer, and either sell or throw them later if she wants. Mitaka is incredibly happy, her face says it! She now has a friend to rely on and the chapter ends with the War Devil asking Mitaka to sell the shoes but she calls them an idiot to even think so.
